Lynch indicates DOJ not required to charge Clinton
Washington Examiner ^ | 3/9/16 12:11 PM | By Kelly Cohen (@politicohen_)

Attorney General Loretta Lynch indicated Wednesday that the law doesn't require the Justice Department to pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email system, even if the FBI recommends criminal charges.

Lynch was asked in a hearing by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, what her department would do if the FBI were to recommend that step. "If the FBI were to make a referral to the Department of Justice to pursue a case by way of indictment and to convene a grand jury for that purpose, the Department of Justice is not required by law to do so, are they — are you?" Cornyn asked.

Obama understands revenge. He loves revenge.

He knows that Hillary also loves revenge.

Who is Hillary’s #1 target for revenge?

Obama.

If Hillary becomes President, she will have the power to take revenge on Obama.

Hillary in prison can’t take revenge on Obama.

Hillary is going to prison.

Obama will protect himself.

Yup. Trump is lagging Hillary by nearly half the deficit by which Reagan lagged Carter.

We certainly don’t want another loss like Reagan’s.

Oh wait.

*She's beating Trump in poll after poll*

I think there are polls in New York which show Trump ahead.

Losing New York would be a severe blow to Democraps.

Heck, even fighting for NY would be a blow.

Didn’t Lyunch make a play for the Supreme Court Seat nomination? Perhaps Lynch should be prosecuted for political favors/corruption and not enforcing the law....

You seem to forget, the next president is a Clinton, one way or the other (Trump or Hillary).

Stupid idiotic statement of the day.

“Pray tell, why is there not a call for a special prosecutor???”

Because:
1) There is no current Special Prosecutor law, so Obama could veto a new one; and,
2) Starting with someone new would be an excuse to delay indictment by many months — probably long after the election.

The idiot Republicans should have had Special Prosecutor legislation in place and working on Hillary’s crimes years ago. This should be job one for the new AG.

I think there are polls in New York which show Trump ahead.

I remember that Drudge story... those were "private" polls. If they had some measure of believability, the Trump people would've paid whomever was necessary to get that data into the public eye.

Who *vacations* in Kenya? For what, the food? The great hotels? The historical sites?

I've vacationed in Kenya. Some of the most amazing wildlife can be seen in Amboselli,Tsavo and Masi Mara National Parks. We even saw a group of three lionesses bring down an antelope early one morning. Our guide told us,in advance, what would happen...and he was right.

Of course that doesn't mean that Rahm didn't take some time off from the game parks to do a little business.

My wife has long held this notion. However, he can only pardon her if she is charged during his administration. He cannot pardon someone who has not been brought up on charges. However, if parties wait until he has left office to press charges, the process will proceed. A lot can happen between now and then tho IMO...

Yup. Trump is lagging Hillary by nearly half the deficit by which Reagan lagged Carter.

Reagan had masterfully overcome the false "right wing lunatic" narrative, vs. a very unpopular and failed incumbent. Trump is no Reagan by any measure.

Your right, until you look at the numbers. This is the lowest voter turnout for the Democrats in recent history, and the largest turnout for Republicans. In a general election, rather than percentages, Trump is well ahead.

You can’t pardon anyone of a crime that they haven’t been convicted of yet

Ford pardoned Nixon.

Does the FBI have to get DOJ’s approval to charge her?
Yes.

They do plenty of indictments on their own.
They can't. A grand jury issues an indictment.

The FBI is not in control of the process once a grand jury is empaneled or subpoenaed.

If the grand jury concludes that there is probable cause to believe that a particular individual committed a crime, the grand jury will issue an indictment.

Whenever a grand jury is involved in an investigation, the agents will work closely with an attorney from the U.S. government, either from the local U.S. Attorney’s Office or the U.S. Department of Justice, before making an arrest in order to determine whether a crime was committed and, if so, who is responsible.

Demoncrats are working hard to turn America into Detroit ... because black hearts matter! Little bathhouse barry bastard boy is sure transforming America. To paraphrase Pelicanosi, “we have to elect the filth to see what it does.”
