WE HAVE TO REMEMBER they didn’t serve OUR NATION during a time of trouble. They both dodged their responsibility. They think they must “serve” from the top down, never from the bottom or mid up, because they are above the average citizen. They are the LEADERS who have put this country on the road to communism. He and Clinton wouldn’t know an assault weapon if thay sat on one. A kitchen knife can be an assault weapon, for heaven’s sake. Look what Clinton did. He Opened the Gates to the muslims. Macedonian’s were the keepers of the gate, but during the invasion and war in the Yugoslave countries, Clinton opened the gate and we are experiencing the devastation to Euripe because of it. Watch CNN late at night and see what the ME people are doing to their countries today.

Got back from RVN in 1972. K-Mart was selling Remington 742’s in 30-06 for $139.95. Wish I’d picked one up.

Have to make do with Dad’s M760 pump rifle. BTW we were there about same time; I signed Sullivan brothers waiver. Dad gave me a Chicom Type 53 Mosin rifle which I still have.

His opponent, Ed Fitzgerald, melted down in the runup. One scandal after another when finally, a police report surfaced with Ed Fitzgerald and a married Finnish hot blonde trade rep in a parking lot at 3am. Ed claimed to be looking for her hotel and went back into a deserted parking area to use his cell phone.

Hence, Gov. Kasich.

One of the things that did it for me were the little hissy fits John-boy threw during the debates.

Actually, whoopie, the "not an assault rifle" AK47 that you refer to is quite legal and useful for hunting in a number of states. Generally just need a 5 rd mag.

her statement shows that ignorance can coexist with ugliness.

I was in-country in ‘68-’69...

My 742 was 30-06...I now have a 7600 pump action in 7mm Mag...
I use it for deer over bean fields in Middle Tennessee...

Last election was filled with fraud in Ohio. Busing in Somalis, precincts reporting over 100% participation with not one republican vote, etc.

How John Kasich Flipped a Mixed Gun Voting Record into an ‘A’ Grade from the NRA

As governor of Ohio, Kasich quickly adopted the GOP’s pro-gun stance — even though he’s “not a gun guy.”

by Dan Friedman

·February 5, 2016

Ohio Governor John Kasich learned of last October’s shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, which left 10 dead, during a televised interview. While informing him of the shooting, an NBC reporter called Kasich a “supporter of gun control” who once earned an F rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA).

The Republican presidential candidate immediately corrected him. “I’ve received an A rating since I’ve been governor,” said Kasich, who won his first gubernatorial term in 2010. “You can strip all the guns away, but the people who are gonna commit crimes or have problems are always gonna be able to have the guns,” he added. “People feel like, ‘I’d like to be able to protect myself.’”

In 1993, following a different mass shooting, Kasich saw the issue another way. After a man used an automatic pistol to fatally shoot eight people at a San Francisco law firm, he was one of 215 House members to vote for a ban on assault weapons that became law in 1994. It was that vote that earned Kasich the failing NRA grade.

A decade and a half later, in 2009, Kasich returned to politics from a private sector sojourn to run for Ohio governor — and the NRA gave its endorsement to his opponent, incumbent Democrat Ted Strickland.

Kasich managed to win that campaign. He also got the NRA’s message. During his tenure in the House of Representatives from 1983 to 2001, his record on guns was mixed: While he voted for the assault weapons ban, he also voted against the Brady Bill, which established current background check laws. As governor, by contrast, Kasich’s record has been unambiguous: He has not vetoed a single pro-gun bill passed by the Republican-dominated general assembly.

As he runs for president, Kasich’s shift on guns makes him a good example of how Republicans who are considered to be relatively moderate handle the issue. His campaign websites declares that he “continues to be a strong supporter of the right to bear arms” and notes that Kasich “is a gun owner himself.”

Trump does not support bans on any weapons.

He has addressed this a number of times over the last eight months.

I understand the reaso you ask.

He has come our way on this.

Today, that rifle would be worth $45.

Be happy you didn't get your wish.

Kinda like the time I got suckered into listening to the pitch for a “buying club” because I’d won a “prize”. And then they got real mean and nasty when the group of us figured out it was a scam. wow the parallels to this election season are uncanny! LOL!

LOL, been there, done that.

On our last trip we were approached many times and as soon as they would walk up I'd say "sorry, I don't speak time share".
