Obama made it a crime to impede or disrupt a Trump rally
Donald Trump rallies are known to draw a large crowd of supporters and protestors but a little known law supported by President Obama in 2012 demands Secret Service stop protests among any of the officials theyre charged to protect.
Slate writer Dahlia Lithwick reported back in 2012 that President Obama signed an anti-protest bill into law prohibiting anyone from knowingly impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions in locations guarded by the Secret Service.
That includes speeches made by the Republican frontrunner and former First Lady Hillary Clinton, who has Secret Service protection for life.
The amendment added to H.R. 347 makes it a federal crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
This means that any area with permanent or temporary Secret Service protection are not free speech zones.
(H.R. 347) could be misused as part of a larger move by the Secret Service and others to suppress lawful protest by relegating it to particular locations at a public event, Gabe Rottman, a policy adviser for the ACLU, said in 2012.
These free speech zones, he continued, are frequently used to target certain viewpoints or to keep protesters away from the cameras.
Such a situation occurred at a Trump rally in Georgia on Monday when two dozen black college students were ejected from an event held by the Republican frontrunner.
Despite having tickets to the event, the city of Valdostas police department, escorted the black students to a designated protest zone about a five-minute walk from the college gym.
Its ironic that President Obama is silencing the same people who overwhelmingly supported him.

The 'protestor' (trouble maker) for getting in there and violating the peace of the place, and that guy with the cowboy hat on who cold cocked the guy, as offensive as he was, and then threatened to kill him later, when briefly on camera. Not good optics. All of it.
for real - or was the democratic pressure on the Sherriff?
will the good sheriff also seek a ‘inciting a riot’ charges against the BLM organization for trespassing a private event?
When Bernie was questioned during an interview yesterday, in response to the interviewer noting that Sanders signs were prominent at disturbances, Bernie stated he was ‘not responsible for every individual’.
If Bernie isn’t responsible for every individual, how is Trump?
I’m every bit the hick that you are. I live in a town
full of Ernest Ts. In fact, the tooth brush was invented
in my home town. You know how I know? Cos’ if it was invented
anywhere else it would be called the “teeth” brush.
The Secret Service called him and said “No your not”...lol
The sherriff will be arresting all the protesters any day now....right? /s
I read it on another thread here a few times
Now, good . . . . we’re on the same page !! Ya know, I got me one of them thar “teeth brushes”. I use it every Saturday - whether I need it or not - just like my bath. Don’t git me wrong, I think a bath EVERY Saturday is a bit much, BUT, my wife insists !! Tell all them Ernest T’s out there we’ins say hi & how do you do Misses Wyyyyyylie !
He's the one that sent the troublemakers. Besides, Obama made it against the law.
I posted the WRAL article about the potential charges this afternoon. They’ve changed the headline twice since then and edited the article to remove the Sheriff’s office quotes about possible charges...and never changed the link or issued a retraction.
