Donald Trump has won the Republican caucus in the Northern Mariana Islands, picking up nine pledged delegates, according to the local GOP.
Trump won 73 percent of the total 471 votes cast in the remote U.S. territory on Tuesday, followed by Ted Cruz with 24 percent, John Kasich at .02 percent and Marco Rubio at .01 percent.
Jason Osborne, the executive director of the Northern Mariana Islands Republican Party, shared results of the winner-take-all caucus early Tuesday morning on Twitter and Facebook.

And you know what they say, As the Northern Marinara Islands go, so goes American Samoa.
Oh my !
Where are all the turds claiming ‘GOPe’, party hacks, etc. that were decrying the Wyoming Caucus...
Oh noes, there goes the Trumpets talking point that all GOP people are evil hacks.
Odd that taking part in the GOP at the most local level and then at succeeding levels makes one a party hack, but arrogantly refusing to take part in neighborhood meetings guarantees one is powerless. Thus the need for a Messiah.
The rule is 50%+1 of the delegates. Vote percentage means nothing.
Hehehehe. AH this is the most entertaining political season EVAH!
This is great news, helps negate the weekend take of Ted’s...
Good start!
Heck yea, screw Wyoming ... we got Northern Mariana Islands!
I think Trump is going to do better in Ohio than anyone thinks. Loser Romney is up there campaigning for Kasich and Trump put in a last ditch effort there last night in Vienna.
Indeed. But the Trumpets tend to attack all things Republican... They are do seem to be DEMOCRATS.
Congratulations, Don! Your first majority! You're now tied with Lying Ted and Little Marco. Ted got a majority of the vote in the state of Wyoming, Marco got a majority in the territory of Puerto Rico, and you, Donny, you got the Northern Mariana Islands.
The Romney effect in play.
And on a funnier note: How ironic is it that the Northern Marianas Republicans are NOT Sea Island Republicans!
Great. So you concede that everybody is pretty much tied in these meaningless contests (Wyoming only had 971 people bother to vote) and now we can focus on states that matter and states that Republican will need to win in November if they are going to beat Shrillary.
Looking forward to results tonight. Also, it appears that Bernie might give Shrillary additional coughing fits tonight when his results come in. It's going to be a fun night.
73%? That means 27% of the Republican oppose him! (snark)
Why do you call Wyoming a phony win?
Actually, it’s been a trump supporter meme that Cruz only wins caucuses. It’s not true but that doesn’t stop it.
Read Rule 40
I don’t understand why Puerto Rico, Guam, Mariana islands, etc... get to vote. Does anyone know why they do this? It’s not like they can vote for President so why do we want them choosing our nominee.
