Relatives of a 17-year-old are angry the teenager was shot and killed by a homeowner who police say was protecting her property.
The sister of the teen who died identified him as Trevon Johnson. She said he was a student at D.A. Dorsey Technical College.
“I don’t care if she have her gun license or any of that. That is way beyond the law… way beyond,” said Johnson’s cousin Nautika Harris. “He was not supposed to die like this. He had a future ahead of him. Trevon had goals… he was a funny guy, very big on education, loved learning.”
On Thursday, police say Johnson burglarized a home south of 79th Street near I-95 — just blocks away from where he lives. …

Well that explains why the news coverage is limited. If the black burglar had killed someone in the house... it wouldn't have even made the back page of the local newspaper. The only thing notable here is that a victim used a gun to defend themselves against a criminal.
Yes, the armed home owner is black, which is why Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton won’t be showing up on her doorstep.

I’m willing to bet that lame excuse to break into someone’s home is made up. Does anyone really believe he was going to use stolen money/items to buy clothes for school? I don’t see how they can say something that damn stupid.
If you are 17 and need clothes for school, a normal person would:
A: Ask Dad.
B: Ask Mom.
C: Get a job and buy them yourself.
