If there were indeed that many early votes, then the vote Tuesday is a joke.

It makes the old saying even more true: Vote early, vote stupid.

Just about every Winner-Take-All states I see Trump will take them. Those close proportional states are starting to fall to the wayside that have propped up all the other candidates.

“...Trump stuck, as always, below 40%...”

You realize of course, that just this week, 2 days ago in fact, Trump won more than 40 pct of the votes cast. Just checking to see if always really means always, or if that word has a new meaning the rest of us aren’t familiar with...

The GOPe?

I know Cruz can only lose 11% of the delegates to Trump and others in this election, so the answer could be Trump.

It’s a physical thing. Other than Phoenix and Tuscon the state has a population density of around 10 people or less per square mile, and it’s a fairly large state. It’s just easier for them to use mail-in ballots than try to have polling places for 20 or 30 people all over the state.

That’s only 68 percent? Who gets the other 32 percent?

Cruz OWNED this issue before Trump came along and stole it.

Exactly, that is why Sheriff Joe Arpaio endorsed Cruz... Ugh, wait. He endorsed Trump. I guess the Sheriff saw Cruz as the Teddy bear at the border guy.

Cruz won’t likely be truly mathematically eliminated until APR 16. (NY is poised to have that honor, a touch ironic that NY values voters could be the ones who formally end his path to the nomination.)

FWIW, April is the month when both Newt and Rick suspended their campaigns last time around. I expect it may be the same this season.

Trump stuck as always under 40%? I guess you didn’t see the results in Florida and other states?

Cruz just wants to be the spoiler now because he is vindictive. He has cast his lot with the GOPe hoping that will get him the nod.

They will stab him in the back and laugh while doing it.

He gets left with the reputation of spoiler.

Yes, Cruz was one of the faces of this border crisis. And we know he was serious because soccer balls are the answer...

Where did Trump get 41% or higher besides Florida?

If I had a dollar for every time I heard check back with me, or Cruz is surging, or the secret army, I’d be as rich as Trump. I know it is hard as a Cruz supporter in what should have been a slam dunk year for him. He’s made for this moment, he’s groomed for it, he’s prepared for it, Heidi told him he’d win...but America’s not buying what he’s selling. Of course that’s now, and things can change, but it’s sure looking like a long slog. My question is to Cruz is, how far do you go before you risk your credibility for the future?

Definitely sad when supposed “conservatives” are salivating for deep blue states like NY and NJ to push the next liberal Republican nominee on us.
