Good link. I saw one from 2015.

Says that 1st ballot vote not for the designated candidate is not a legitimate vote

Not exactly. It is written so you have to go ‘round the wording three or four times. Pretty sure it’s really saying that delegates are not bound, not even for the first vote.

But then i read it again, and i’m not so sure. It’s carazy.

Actually that’s where the STATE party apparatus comes into play. And Texas has a much more conservative and less RINO/establishment type apparatus this time around.

That’s why they support Cruz. Not because they’re a part of the “establishment”

RULE NO. 42
Temporary Rules
Upon the adoption of the report of the Convention Committee on Rules and Order of Business, Rule Nos. 26-42 shall
constitute the Standing Rules for this convention and the temporary rules for the next convention.

*********************

I thought that the above was interesting. I’m not sure when they make the final rules for the 2016 Convention. I think I read something where they had a meeting awhile ago where they could have changed the Rule 40 (must win majority in 8 states) but didn’t. But that they STILL could change it - but it would create a lot of fall-out.

I read somewhere that they can change the rules as late as the day before the convention begins.
