“if you “haven’t watched it in years” then your not watching it doesn’t help. Sorry.”

That’s really not the case. When someone stops watching, the NFL loses out on support for however long they stay away, and people who stop watching it at any point also influence others.

I also stopped watching it some years ago. Occasionally I’ll watch a few minutes or a playoff game or Super Bowl, but I didn’t this season. I may again, or may not. In an evangelistic sense, watching a little football helps me relate better to people who do watch a lot of it. There is a danger in stopping anything that someone can take a “holier than thou” attitude about it, and watching a little football reminds me to keep the Lord and our human position to Him properly in focus. The NFL takes certain human needs that God has given us and exploits them, doing so more and more over time. These needs can be much better met elsewhere, but that becomes almost unthinkable to many people.

It may be hard to stop watching football for some people (it was for me, I grew up in an NFL-team town), but one way it can be done is to turn off just PART of a game and devote that time to the Lord. I found football’s hold on me broken by doing that.

The NFL sucks anyway....it’s like the WWF of football. The rules have gotten lamer and the leadership has gotten more effete.

...so I gotta get the humor mobile cranked up early. LOL!

Just a question...I don't know what you suffer from, but I live with a lot of pain...Does laughing help you with your pain? I know it does for me.

Sometimes it's quite amazing. Playing my guitar also helps a lot.

Playing my guitar helps too. I think I’m gonna go to a jam session the next three night so I can feel better. Typical dermo stuff. But, surprise. I got there and they looked at what they were gonna excise and said “Never mind cause we don’t see anything to bother with.” WOO HOO! Better yet, NO CHARGE.

I haven’t watched a complete game in years. The NFL becomes more PC and pussified each season. I predict within the next 25 yrs. it will die off or become so sissified that we won’t recognize the game of football.

You want to cater to 1% of the population and tell the rest to go to hell, fine, see how that works out for you and your gaystopo friends.
