Iowa may vote for whoever they want in subsequent ballots, but why Cruz? Why not Jeb? Why not Mitt? Why not Ryan? It won’t be Cruz... he is on a fool’s errand and sadly deluded and if it came to that, stabbed right in the back by his own delegates.
Because you can’t be nominated without winning eight States majority delegates. Heard they may lower it to five.
Another reason is because Trump and Cruz are the front runners.
I see Two scenarios
1) Trump gets 1237. Game over. He is nominee.
2) Trump gets 1150 Cruz gets 900 Others get 400 (just an example)
In that case nominating Cruz would be legit (except to Trump of course)
