Why...because NATO has done so much to stop the Islamic invasion of Europe?

Bad timing on Trump’s part. The lame ad hominem attacks on Cruz are right on schedule because he has a point.

I don’t see where Cruz blamed Trump for the attack. He is questioning Trumps judgement and rightly so.

We should always challenge and question our leaders and not blindly push their talking points.

Yes, because Russia and China have disbanded their military.

Let’s throw more money at it so the Europeans can afford their social welfare states (which attract more jihadists coming in disguised as immigrants) and skewer the U.S. for being ‘barbarians’ who vote for Trump.

Cruz needs to shut up, go back to the senate and try not to screw that up any worse than he already has

Would you want to go to a place where you're universally despised. What is his senate endorsement count up to now? 2? That includes Lee (good) and Grahamnesty(LOL).

Damn - i liked Cruz - but he just abandoned an important issue which Trump correctly grabbed.

NATO’s mission ended 25 years ago. Since then, it has become an agent and facilitator of the progress-left, soft-fascist, social-engineering and statism of the EU Left. It has facilitated the establishment of a Saudi-sponsored Wahabbist state in South Europe. It is overseeing stability in Europe, while EU culture slowly commits suicide.

If Europe can afford 2 million illiterate, backward Muslims per year, it can afford to defend itself.

END this nonsense now.

Perhaps he’s saying that in the face of these attacks and similiar ones its apparent that NATO might be needed.

NATO was created to fight the expansion of the old Soviet Union. The Soviet Union formed the Warsaw Pack, and the Cold War was on.

NATO’s old mission is over—we won. Today, it is a poor tool for fighting modern threats like terrorism.

Today’s Russia has its own Islamic terrorism problem, and has as much reason to fight Islamic terrorism as we do.

If we don’t give the gimme dats here and abroad what they demand, apparently they feel justified in killing. Cruz is wrong on NATO. We should not pay everyone’s way.

Those who claim Cruz is for small government might want to explain how we can continue to support the world and nation build unless we keep big government.

Any government that Trump supports would benefit the American people for a change. Novel idea in the world today where Americans are expected to give til it destroys us.

Yes, because Russia and China have disbanded their military.

We have a responsibility to defend ourselves. The Europeans have the responsibility to defend themselves. Period. The EU has a larger GDP then the US...let them pay their own way. Policing the world is NOT our responsibility.

Not Captain Stupid. Cruz is Captain Disgusting here.

Cruz couldn't even wait a day before turning this into an anti-Trump moment. What a terrible, and pathetic, thing to do.
