That is not correct. Cruz does not have to get a majority of votes before the convention (1,237 delegates), but Trump does.
If Trump cannot cross the finish line at the first delegate vote, Cruz will win the second vote because the spoilers will no longer give Trump a head start.

I want to know more about what these guys plan to do to counter terrorism threats and deal ISIS, the Islamic invasion of Europe and how to deal with the nuclear weapon and ballistic missile proliferation by rouge states such as Iran and North Korea which are led by insane, homicidal psychopaths and equally insane and homicidal religious zealots who want to create mass murder and destruction to cue up the arrival of the 12th Imam and ring in the Muslim Apocalypse.
I especially want to be told how we are going to pay for all of this given that the samecPoliticians slinging all the mud have bankrupted the country over the last 8 years and run the national debt to 19 billion bucks and are currently borrowing over 50 cents on every dollar the government spends to support the 90 million people who have dropped out of our workforce.

More likely Trump's main opponent's Veep - the guy who has Mitt and Jeb stumping for him and who the GOPe see as their only hope of not going down in flames.....the guy who has supporters doing slimy deed and his response is so like Obama's, "I didn't do it - didn't even know about it until I saw it on Twitter (or TV)".....
He's running for President as skillfully as did Jeb who started his campaign saying he didn't want or need any Republican votes...a minor exaggeration...only minor.
Kasich is still in the race because he is trying to become the turd in the punch bowl at the convention.
The longer this race goes on, the worse it looks for Kasich.
I actually had a fairly good opinion of Kasich when he announced his candidacy. Then he opened his mouth. And kept talking. The more he loses, the less he sounds like an actual conservative. At this point, the only reason Kasich might be considered a Republican is because he “self identifies” as one. I’m not even sure I’d vote for any ticket where he was the VP.
