that British law does no such thing.

And what the guy said was so innocuous it could in no way pass for hateful or inciting speech. The "anti-hate" speech laws are just ways for leftists to clamp down on conservatives.

How exactly is the BREXIT going to help the UK when they are quite happy to create this hell for themselves?

Not that BREXIT is a bad idea as such (less UK PC madness spreading to the continent), but 50+ years of freely importing riff-raff (Pakis, Africans, Arabs, Caribbeans) have pushed them over the point of return.

Make that, point of NO return...

After Churchill, Enoch Powell may have been the last sane UK politician of note. (What did even the great Maggie Thatcher do to stem the flow, after all?)

The PC madness flowed in the other direction for ages.

‘ealth-and-safety. Try Google for some ‘rich’ examples resulting in unnecessary demises. Not a continental concept, or practiced there. Never mind that ‘PC madness’ is not a problem of ‘ages’ -it’s a rather recent phemomenon.

No, as horrid as the EU bureaucracy is, the UK has only itself to blame for the idiocy exemplified by the thread topic, and looking for outside scape goats won’t properly address the underlying problems.

Since this was foisted on the UK by avowedly pro-EU politicians, I cannot say the same.

British 'avowedly pro-EU politicians'. Don't let that part drop under the table. And the 'pro-EU' qualifier does not mean that they wouldn't have done so otherwise.

Fabians. Founders of the UK Labour Party in 1900. Predate Lenin and Stalin. That is a much stronger root of the UK's problems today and influence on the EU monster than vice-versa.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabian_Society

"The Fabian Society is a British socialist organisation whose purpose is to advance the principles of socialism via gradualist and reformist effort in democracies, rather than by revolutionary overthrow.[1][2] As founders of the Labour Party in 1900, the Fabian Society has influenced British policy to the present day, from the postwar creation of the modern welfare state to the election of Tony Blair. Later members of the Fabian Society included Jawaharlal Nehru and other leaders of new nations created out of the former British Empire, who used Fabian principles to create socialist democracies in India, Pakistan, Nigeria and elsewhere as Britain decolonised after World War II.

The Fabian Society founded the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1895 "for the betterment of society," now one of the leading institutions in the world, an incubator of influential politicians, economists, journalists, prime ministers and liberal billionaires.

Today, the society functions primarily as a think tank and is one of 15 socialist societies affiliated with the Labour Party. Similar societies exist in Australia (the Australian Fabian Society), in Canada (the Douglas-Coldwell Foundation and the now disbanded League for Social Reconstruction), in Sicily (Sicilian Fabian Society) and in New Zealand (The NZ Fabian Society)."

Yeah, shove the blame over to the EU now...whose agenda and policies were co-created by the Fabians...sounds like a new Fabian diversion tactic.

Nice try, no cigar.

British “avowedly pro-EU politicians”
Not a meaningful disclaimer. Preface all of the EU politicians across all the member states with their country of birth and it will mean the same thing. By their allegiance to the EU, they have disavowed their identity as Britons.

Fabians (long affiliated with Britain’s Labour Party) are just as internationalist as Marxists; they only differ in terms of the matter of violent revolution versus gradual political alteration of the status quo—take note of how the EU operates in this fashion, and also take note of Tony Blair’s expressed desire of being the first “EU president” (the job went to Herman van Rompuy instead). It really ought to be self-explanatory. Fabians have migrated into the Tories as well; if the gay marriage bill was not demonstration enough of that, I don’t know what is.

Muslim is not a race. Islam is simply an evil cult.

To be fair, most of the immigration to the UK has been fine. The Sikhs and Hindus have been great. Muslims were fine until the late 80s. There were racial issues and tensions with the black Caribbean community for years, but that settled down years ago. And of course you have Chinese/Asian immigration, who have been terrific.

I am no hippy trippy PC person, but overall, despite some issues and problems, the ethnic immigration to the UK has been positive. At least from the 1940s until recent times.

It seems some are less happy and more concerned than you.

Of course, most reports concentrate on the downsides and not any positive aspects, as there may be.

Oh, I am concerned, I just know the issue/problem isn’t as bad as the US media and here thinks.
