A political deal to raise California’s minimum wage to a nation-leading $15 an hour could help some workers cope with the state’s crushing cost of living but also deprive other low-wage earners of jobs altogether, economists said Monday as Gov. One of the Ds spoke for a while in English then in spanish. A woman on stage with bleached hair and piercings cried and hugged Brown. She was interviewed and said that she has a 4 month old baby and she works at Burger King and was complaining she did not have a living wage.
