Here’s one thing they don’t know;

I fully intend to become a gun-owner, and enjoy a lot of time learning how to be proficient at it with the help of my nephews; one of whom was trained by the USAF.

If I’m any good at it, I may just take up competitive shooting. Beats sit’n at home look’n ugly.

My wife, daughter and daughter-in-law love to shoot. We took another woman to the range to give it a try and now she has her own gun. Women who find guns scary, generally have spent zero range time. Start them with a .22 pistol and move them up.

Yeah... protecting yourself is a really bad idea. You should let the criminals do what they want if they attack you. Protecting your kids is just plain dumb too, why would anyone want to keep they safe when you take them out?. They should ban seat-belts as well... who needs those?
