I believe that is exactly what is going to happen if this contested convention nonsense doesn’t end soon.
All these Folks Trump has attracted to the Republican brand and others who are fed up with the sell outs and neocon nonsense will just leave the party.... and the Republicans wind up obliterated up and down the ballot and are virtually done as a national party.
Watching the “elites” handling of this entire situation is watching someone commit suicide in slow motion.... Just imagine if they had fought against Obama with 1/10th the effort they have been putting into fighting Trump? Or better yet, put that energy behind Trump instead of against him?
They have ignored the electorate for nearly 30 years, and made sure that all the pressure release valves were slammed shut to keep their power, so the pressure has built to where you have what is going on today and they seem more than willing to blow it all up, rather than relinquish their power.

All this talk about picking somebody other than Trump at the convention is utter nonsense. IF Trump falls short it won’t be by much.
Yeah the GoPe Inc. fear and don’t won’t him but they aren’t suicidal..Gope knows they can’t pick a candidate not backed by the base, that can beat Hillary, but they also know if they piss off 80% on voters they lose the party and house and senate seats.
Also this talk is just trying to grease the skids in case the delegate count gets close(it will not Trump will trounce in NE and CALI), and a contested convention is necessary.

Plus for Cruz to be the choice he’s gonna have to be alot closer than 300 delegates. Look for Trump to finish in the 1100 1200 range, Cruz 700 to 800.
Cruz will win Wisconsin, but that will be his last big pickup, the rest where large delegate numbers can be found, favor Trump in a big way.
