The Left elsewhere doesn't hate its country. As a matter of fact it is passionately nationalist and patriotic (seeing the entire world "oppressed" by the USA).
It could be because after being the first left wing cause in history (our Revolution was the pet cause of all the subversives of Europe) we "turned on them" (like Israel did). It could be simply that they hate themselves (and maybe their hatred of "rednecks" is an outer directed self-hatred).
Who knows? These people are sick.
