I've only recently become a Trump supporter. I was leaning toward Cruz, but couldn't go with him when he decided to collude with the GOPe, fully knowing (I have to imagine) that there wasn't a snowball's chance in Hell they would pick him in a contested convention. It's obvious that the GOP has decided to self destruct. Their disregard for conservatives and their complete disdain for the middle and working class has turned my stomach.

I've turned in my membership. I'm finished for good with the Republican Party. I've decided to go Independant from this point forward, and I've gotten to,wondering...

...how many folks here have moved out too?

I would never vote for Cruz. The problem we have is the GOPe - that is the problem. I along with millions will NEVER vote for Cruz under these conditions, it is simply enabling CORRUPTION OF OUR VOTES. We are the majority, not THEM. Some jackass running for state senate showed op on my doorstep around dinner time. He said yada yada yada.... I said simple question. Who are you going to vote for in the presidential primary. In 2008 I was saying we need a third party. The reply was “we don’t have time” so that will give the vote to Obama. Now it’s 8 years later and once again it’s obvious there is a need for a third party. If one had been started 8 years ago it would be a power today and the gopE would be history.

There are only two candidates who can get the nomination, Trump and Cruz! Newt doesn’t believe that there is any technical way for the GOPe to twist the convention around to “their guy” whomever “their guy” might be!

Once again the country is “importing” a presidential candidate, this time from Canada — We must really be in decline that we can not produce a true American to lead our country — got to let another country “export” one to us. What truly amazes me is the number of Freepers who have not yet come to the conclusion that peaceful restoration of the country is impossible. I understand that people don't want to believe their country has fallen, but the evidence isn't just apparent, it is IN YOUR FACE.

Let's look at our presidential race, shall we? Running for president in 2016 we've got:

Sanders - an open socialist (and an obvious nutbag)who, on a good day, looks like he rolled out of bed ten minutes before the rally and was shocked that he had not yet turned to dust

Clinton - a megalomaniacal alcoholic lesbian whose only REAL qualification is that she was married to a lying, cheating dirtbag left-winger who sleazed his way into the presidency 24 years ago. AND she's a lawyer!

Cruz - a son of a Cuban national who was born in Canada who is currently married to a high-level employee of Goldman-Sachs, a woman who was apparently driven to a mental breakdown on the side of a freeway due to what now appears to have been her husband's cheating. And he's a lawyer!

Trump - a billionaire playboy reality show star with bad hair whose true political leanings are not always apparent, but is the ONLY CANDIDATE to be addressing the problems concerning most decent Americans, though we have no idea if he really means it.

Just a meager twenty years ago or so, NONE of these candidates would have even been considered to serve punch at the Republican bake sale. Next election, assuming we have one, I fully expect to see Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho on the ballot.

As for the Republican Party - I knew they were idiots when they nominated the son of GHW Bush, a one-term failed president who was booted for breaking his own word to the American people, in 2000. But then they surpassed all limits of idiocy by supporting Jeb Bush, also the son of failed GHW Bush and the brother of, let's admit this, failed president GW Bush. Those dumbasses SERIOUSLY BELIEVED that they could put another Bush in office. And this is the party that is supposed to be the good guys.

I honestly can't imagine how any of you out there still believe that this country isn't gone already. I also can't imagine how any of you Freepers fail to understand the appeal of Trump. There is a big red button on the wall labeled "When all else fails, press this". That button is Trump and all else has failed. Trump may fail too, but we've honestly got nothing left to lose. Deal with that.
