Trump, Clinton Lead In PA, But Challengers Closing In, Poll Says April 06, 2016 FoxNews.com

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton still lead their respective primary packs heading into Pennsylvania’s April 26 contest, but the challengers who’ve dogged the respective Republican and Democrat frontrunners so far continue to nip at their heels in the Keystone State, according to a new Quinnipiac Poll.

Trump leads the Republican primary field with 39 percent in the April 6 poll. The New York businessman has consistently placed first in previous Pennsylvania polling, and the Northeast states have long been expected to be friendly terrain for the New York mogul – certainly more friendly than a state such as Wisconsin, where Trump was drubbed by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in Tuesday’s primary.

Cruz sits just nine points behind Trump at 30 percent in the Quinnipiac poll. That’s a huge jump, as Cruz drew only single digits in numerous polls as late as October and only climbed into double digits during the last month.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich takes third with 24 percent, but the Quinnipiac poll also shows Kasich as the lone Republican to top Clinton or Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., in hypothetical general election matchups. Kasich beats Clinton 51-35 percent and Sanders 46-40 percent. Cruz ties Clinton at 43 percent and loses to Sanders 46-38 percent. Trump loses to both Democrat candidates.

Mormons are open borders, pro illegal and legal immigration from everywhere. The Utah governor stated he would welcome Muslim refugees when other governors were saying they would not.

Mormons thought Cruz was more likely than Trump to keep the border issues as they are, obviously they think Hillary is even more likely to keep the borders as they are. When I saw the numbers Cruz got in Utah I wondered why the Mormons did not believe what he says about illegal immigration.

Many see this election as about illegals since Trump made it an early issue in his campaign.

Keep dreaming. This lead gets appreciably bigger after Trump takes most of the 95 delegates in NY next week and mathematically eliminated Cruz.

If that’s the case, than Trump supporters are beyond delusional

I've been saying that for nine months now.

Kasich beats Hillary by 6.3 points in the general election poll average. Cruz loses by 3.1. Kasich has beaten her in every single RCP poll. Cruiz has lost every poll versus Clinto except for two and one of those was a tie. And the only reason Cruz is doing as well as he’s doing is because the media has been so focused on destroying Donald Trump. Once the general starts, Cruz will be crushed.

Hillary! is inevitable.

She will not be denied.

Why are the silly Republicans even trying to field a candidate?

Hillary! will win in a walk.

The most amazing thing out of the exit polls in Wisconsin was “ability to win the presidential election” was selected as the most important criteria by 12% of the voters. What difference does it make that the candidate “tells it like it is” if he can’t win?

Anyone REALLY believe Trump loses to a Felon or a Communist? Really? Trump hasn’t started in on either one so this is Faux News wishful thinking. And after Trump eliminates Cruz who now has a “Tragic number” of just 49, he will frame the rst of the primaries as “I’m running against Ted Dole, Jeb McCain John Romney and Paul Bush” Lots of luck with that Trump haters.

Exit polling also revealed that more than a third of the Wisconsin “Republicans” polled stated that they wouldn’t vote for the GOP nominee if it was Trump or Cruz. The Dems Crossed over heaviliy in Wisconsin and in Ohio in order to “guide’ or primary election towards chaos IMO. the numbers support this this opinion.

[Why don’t we wait and see Hillary vs. Trump campaign, then decide. Trump will wipe the floor with that lying crook.]

I prefer Hillary vs. Cruz. Cruz will wipe the floor with that lying crook.

Trump has a better chance to win the general than Cruz.

Hope so, but the bound delegate haul is less than in Rhode Island. 54 delegates are free agents. And they’re elected by name with no candidate affiliation. So Cruz has to have got loyalist delegates filed on the ballot and will have to promote them himself on election day to voters.

OVER 100,000 DEMOCRAT VOTERS SWITCH PARTIES IN PENNSYLVANIA — To Vote Trump

Trump can win PENNSYLVANIA

Cruz Never

Ohio

Ted Cruz finishes Third in GOP Primary out 4 Candidates , Cruz not only lost but did not win a County or 20% of the Vote.

Virginia again Ted Cruz finishes Third , Less than 20% of the Vote, Won not one county

Florida , Mr. Cruz finishes third with less than 20% of the vote. He did not win one County.

I think the Democrats are sending a Limo to pick Ted Cruz to win.

Winning Utah doesn't win you the Presidency

No President has ever won losing Florida, Virginia and Ohio Cruz Supporters

The voters know that we’ve been told liberal and moderate Republicans are the only ones who can win, yet they fail every time. It’s hard to take that electability standard seriously anymore. Since the electable ones always lose, we may as well vote for the ones we like.

Gee wizz, think once the GOPe stops 24/7 attack ads on Trump he might just do better against Hillary? Any poll says Hillary is winning is a BS poll, no matter who the GOP is.

We need Cruz to be our nominee. Period. Losing with dignity is the answer.

Kasich sounds like Hillary and only won his home state. Not voting for that pansy if he was nominated. Someone else can elect him I won’t.

Trump is only 3 points behind Hillary in this poll - pretty impressive considering that the establishment is so busy trashing him.

No, it was a third saying that about Trump and a separate count saying it about Cruz. So most likely most of those were supporters of the opposite guy they were saying they wouldn’t support. Trumpers who are anti-Cruz, who we see all over FR, and Cruzers and Kaysickos who are anti-Trump.

Says whom? Fellow Cruzers? Cruz won’t hit 1237 so he won’t be the first ballot nominee. Cruz is a disaster waiting to happen if he unfairly pulls more tricks to win.

So what you’re saying is you can’t believe the exit polls? Because I am inclined to believe that since the Wisconsin and Ohio primaries were both corrupted by malicious Dem crossovers, it only makes sense that the exit polling data is also corrupted.
