GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is the American equivalent of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, said Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post.
"[Trump] is both a buffoon and dangerous," Huffington told CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Tuesday — citing, in part, as her reasons Trump's proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country and what she calls "inciting violence at his rallies."
The Huffington Post first covered Trump's campaign as entertainment, Huffington said. "[But] the day he proposed to ban 1.6 billion Muslims from the United States, we started covering him as a clear and present danger."
