Charles Hurt: Ted Cruz Is the ‘Henchman and Handmaiden of the Establishment to Block Donald Trump’
Breitbart ^ | April 7, 2016 | John Hayward

Posted on 04/07/2016 8:47:03 AM PDT by maggief

Drudge Report editor and Washington Times columnist Charles Hurt took a look at the state of the Republican presidential primary on Thursday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily with SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon.

Hurt said the Republican Establishment loves talking about convention rules, floor fights, and the fine points of delegate behavior because “it allows them to avoid a far deeper and more important problem they have, and that is that they are completely out of touch with Republican voters.”

“They opened this huge avenue for Donald Trump, who isn’t like them, who’s an outsider, who is flamboyant, and is a force unlike anybody else,” he continued. “They allowed him to walk in, and the guy was one hundred percent in tune with voters on everything.”

(snip)

“Having covered Ted Cruz, and what he has done in the Senate ever since he has been here, to see him now as the henchman and handmaiden of the Establishment to block Donald Trump?” Hurt marveled, scoffing at the suggestion that the Establishment is actually moving in Cruz’s direction on the issues or that they would allow him to win the White House and become the nominal leader of the Republican Party.

“It is not going to work,” Hurt declared. “All he is doing is, he’s doing their work to prevent Donald Trump from clinching the nomination.”

The truth is finally spoken.

Cruz will be blamed in the end for the establishment win.

Nothing to be proud of unless you are one of them.

And Trump serves as nothing but a way to allow the Rat candidate to win.

The question is: Is there evidence of Cruz being supported by the Unipart Establishment of Globalism?

Cruz supporters, in my experience, push that question aside - they won't even discuss it. This is the great mystery to me. I wonder that critical thinking has been sabotaged by partisan emotion.

Is there a single Cruz supporter out there who is willing to concede some misgivings about Cruz backers from the Establishment?

The establishment has to pick one of the two.

If they'd picked Trump his amen corner would be claiming " Donald own3s the GOPe".

Hurt on the Special Report panel yesterday talking about some of this stuff. Krautahmmer pointed out that Trump did astounded well in WI considering the amount of attacks leveled against him. His percentage essentially unchanged indicating once again the millions spent against Trump did little to nothing.

You were misinformed... he is merely the one of many vessels of sowing seeds of deception. The 'fourth' feeds off the seed planting.

<< Think the voters are thinking about that or care? >>

LobbyLu, The voters have their frontrunner because they *do* care.

Cartel Cruz is now tightly pressed in the DC Cartel vice. Owned, indebted, and subjugated and everybody knows it.

He’s a globalist with a p!$$ poor personality, but the Cartel can use him and his flock of geese who may still support him long enough to restore the Establishment strangle hold on power that TRUMP has clearly shattered.

Cheer up. Maybe Cartel Cruz can take a village in some state next month.

Bullcrap, Ted Cruz (with Donald Trump) has SUBJUGATED the establishment in the primaries. Now Cruz & Trump are locked in a struggle to determine who can move on to VANGUISH the ‘RATS in November.

If anyone believes the GOPe is pulling the strings, they are completely wrong.

Trump and Cruz could have had it all and pleased most of the country's electorate had they not s..t in their own nests. The GOPe will more than likely knife Cruz the Constitutionalist in the back in favor of Kasich who will keep the status quo should he be elected POTUS, however, should he lose to Hillary, that is also fine as Hillary will also keep the status quo.
