U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived for an unannounced visit to Baghdad on Friday, as the country's political crisis threatens the fight against ISIS.
The top U.S. diplomat's visit, which was not made public until Kerry arrived, is part of an effort to shore up an embattled Prime Minister fighting to stay in office. Kerry will meet with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and Council of Representatives Speaker Saleem al-Jabouri.
State Department spokesman John Kirby said Kerry will underscore the strong U.S. support for the Iraqi government as it addresses significant security, economic and political challenges, including the fight against ISIS militants that has ravaged the country.

Sad to say, that’s true. Our troops are stuck in Muslim countries for no good purpose. GWB was a fool for using armies to deal with terrorists. We have lost too many good people and wasted billions of dollars fighting for various Muslim groups who hate us. Our troops are there while the enemy, Islam, is here. Islam should be banned in civilized nations and Muslims deported. Bring US troops home and put on our borders. Institute a “pet the pig” requirement to enter US or board a plane. Let Muslim savages kill each other all day long in their own dirt bag countries.
There is one huge problem with the fight against ISIS. ISIS is Islam and they are invading here without firing a shot. If Bin Laden weren’t roasting in hell, he would be laughing hysterically at how well his plan worked to get the west entangled in perpetual conflict in Muslim countries. Our bringing in thousands of Muslim invaders (not refugees!) is icing on the cake.
ElAbadi should have an escape route planned. Kerry is coming to ‘help’.
It’s worth it, whatever the price.
