Geraldo Rivera blasts Ted Cruz for ‘stinking anti-Semitic’ comments
The Washington Times ^ | April 7, 2016 | Victor Morton

Posted on 04/08/2016 5:24:59 AM PDT by Washi

Geraldo Rivera said Thursday night that Sen. Ted Cruz’s attack on “New York values” is actually a form of anti-Semitism.

In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “O’Reilly Factor,” Mr. Rivera, also a Fox News correspondent, said that Mr. Cruz’s explanation that he meant to attack a certain sort of liberalism didn’t hold water because “”He could have very easily said that.”

Mr. Rivera called the “New York values” comment an example of “stinking anti-Semitic implications” pandering to Iowa voters, the nominal audience for the debate during which Mr. Cruz made the remarks about real-estate tycoon Donald Trump.

The reality is, in a general election, likability is tre importante. And in that department Ted Cruz comes up way short.

And that is one of the biggest differences between the real Ronald Reagan, and the putative "next Ronald Reagan", ted Cruz. Reagan was truly likeable, and neither Cruz nor Trump come even close.

Why do you still cling to some bizarre idea that Fox News has anything different to say than the other 5 huge media corporations?

C’mon man — every dammed one of them went to the same colleges, read the same textbooks, and have the same communal brain.

Meanwhile, Obama and the progressives are enabling Iran to start another holocaust.
Nixon made anti-semantic remarks but was a great friend to Israel.

I’m not voting for a candidate because of his personality. That’s libtard dumb dumb reasoning. I vote for a candidate because of his ideology. Free Market, Laissey-faire, small gov’t,protection of constitution, etc. Cruz is the candidate that has spent his life espousing those values. If you Trumpsters want to vote for a reality star with a moral past like Caligula, go ahead!

“Why is ultra-liberal Geraldo Rivera still a fox news correspondent?”

He’s trying to fill Beckel’s spot as the network contrarian uber-liberal. He’s doing ok, maybe slightly less stupid than Beckel.

“Geraldo Rivera said Thursday night that Sen. Ted Cruz’s attack on “New York values” is actually a form of anti-Semitism.”

And why is that, Gerry—because Cruz mentioned as examples Cuomo, de Blasio, and Rangel? Do these guys go to synagogue. The one Jew I heard him mention is Carlos Danger (a/k/a Anthony Weiner). I don’t know if Weiner is a practicing Jew or not, but suspect if he is a worshiper of anyone it is Karl Marx.

Gerry, you’re just not very bright. But then we already knew that.

A real conservative, which are few in NY, would have known what he was talking about and agreed with him. The Donald himself talked about how he had different values, ie pro abortion, pro gay marriage, pro gun control, because he was from NY. Sen. Cruz was just agreeing with him.

I just moved from very liberal Maryland. If Sen. Cruz had said that about Maryland I would agree with him and cheered him on, because it would be the truth.

Everything about the Donald is repugnant.

I was p!ssed when Cruz made that statement about NY values.

Stereotype of NY'er is a loud, obnoxious, and rude individual. My experience is that is good read of folks from up there about 75% of the time. No offense, just a different culture.

The media has made Trump a racist. Now that they’ve derailed Trump’s chances of winning the nomination, they will start attacking Cruz. Cruz will be easier for them to bring down.

No Cruz fan but Geraldo can suck eggs. This guy drew pictures in the dirt of American positions in the Iraq invasion on LIVE TV. Andrew Jackson would have hanged him.

But when a leftist criticizes Trump, the Cruz people take it as Gospel truth.

I don't think that happens as much as you'd like to believe. Do you have links to any examples?

To the extent that it does happen, none of us should be siding with the socialists, but I'm sure there are an equal percentage of "transgressors" in both the Cruz and Trump camps.

Stereotype of NY'er is a loud, obnoxious, and rude individual.

Can't disagree with that...on the surface at least.

It's a tough city to live in. If you let it, it will eat you up and spit you out.

But when you get to know them, you learn that they are also big-hearted, generous, patriotic, committed, hard-working as well as loud, obnoxious, and rude.

And I say that as a Southerner gentleman.

It's easy to see why none of sCruz's (sic) classmates at Princeton and Harvard and none of his fellow Senators like him.

He's a thoroughly unlikeable person.

That's easy. Most of his classmates at those schools are left-liberal, and Cruz is a conservative. If you are a liberal, a leftist, a RINO, or belong to Trump's Personnenkult, you will, indeed, find Cruz thoroughly unlikeable.
