Ted Cruz Dies Politically With "New York Values" Rants. (Vanity)

Posted on 04/08/2016 7:24:26 AM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Ted Cruz has shot himself in the foot big time with his ill thought out ranting about hating New Yorkers. It's the same kind of rant that someone would make about "Red Necks" in any southern state, ill advised and unacceptable. The Cruz verbage is proof that Cruz will do or say anything true or untrue to gain power and control. He is really not-too-bright-in-th brain-department. He is far from Presidential material!!!

For goodness sake....the fool, Ted Cruz, has no clue as to how he is being used by the GOP Establishment for "their" purposes, not his. Does anyone really think & believe that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, John McCain, Lindsey Graham could support Ted Cruz in a POTUS run?....no way!!!

This hateful uttering of condemning an entire state and all its citizens will cause Cruz to lose massively in New York State....but, worse, it will cause the loss of the entire Northeast, including Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, etc. Cruz should have engaged his brain, before opening his hateful mouth.

Support & vote for Donald j. Trump!!! GO DONALD TRUMP!!!

I as Cruz was referring to how “New York” votes. The leaders they choose to elect and the positions those elected officials take reflects the overall sentiment of the populace.

Those positions are as I have listed.

“That’s old news,” so says Hillary. It would have had effects earlier than this. And what you say is a LIE. If you don’t agree and support NYC values you would not be on here.

“I disagree conservatism can win.....”

I am beginning to doubt it myself. Heck, we have had months of continued attacks on folks that were considered Conservative heroes just shy of a year ago. When we see nothing but baseless attacks on ALL conservatives, then it is simply destructive to the brand.

We have an entire faction of the party burning Conservatives to the ground, simply for the sake of populist nationalism. After that, it will be difficult for any Conservative to win in any election this fall.

“Cruz is the one that made the initial statement, and now he’s paying for it because it left an opening.”

False. Cruz’s statement was directly related to this interview with Donald Trump:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHAHKGP10yc

Russert: What about partial birth abortion? The eliminating of abortion in the 3rd trimester. Big issue. Would President Trump ban it?

Trump: “I’m very pro-choice, and again it may be a little bit of a New York background because there is some different attitude in different parts of the country, because I was raised in New York City.”

Russert: But you would not ban it?

“No, I am pro-choice in every sense of the word.”

Back in 1999 — 17 years ago — when Donald Trump was considering a presidential run on the Reform Party ticket, he said this when asked about abortion by Tim Russert on “Meet the Press”: “Well, look, I’m very pro-choice. I hate the concept of abortion. I hate it. I hate everything it stands for. I cringe when I listen to people debating the subject. But you still — I just believe in choice.”

Russert then asked him specifically if he’d ban partial-birth abortion. Trump said, “No. I am pro-choice in every respect and as far as it goes, but I just hate it.”

A year later, Trump wrote in his book “The America We Deserve”: “When Tim Russert asked me on ‘Meet the Press’ if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would indeed support a ban.”

Sometime in the intervening 16 years, Trump became fully pro-life.

You can say you don’t believe him — just as you might say you don’t believe Cruz has truly changed his mind on amnesty, the wall, or the Trans-Pacific Partnership, etc. But to claim Trump is pro-choice today — present tense — is what’s known as a “lie.”

Cruz made(another)untruthful, stupid statement and it is going to kill his campaign.

Then a good little Trumpbots should be happy and not so defensive. Wonder why you all are so defensive, maybe because 2/3 of GOP voters are correct about New York Values Trump?

I can barely watch Fox News any more, they are so in to Trump. Yesterday, Martha McCallum (one of the news babes I like the most) was all a twitter about the attention everyone was paying to NY. She said “It feels good to have everyone paying attention to us now” (meaning NYC). FGS, NY dominates the country’s culture all the time...and the fashion, and the judicial system, etc., etc. ad nauseum!

I made me think of that old poster that they used to sell of Manhatten that showed the rest of the country (and even the state of NY) as wilderness.

Get real, Martha!

The Governor of NY represents all the people of NY and he told the rest of us to stay away unless we bought into his immoral, baby killing, sodomizing line! That’s NY values.

Unfortunately, I have to go there to a graduation in June. But, it’s just Albany and I’ll try not to spend any money.

Agreed Tophat. Should Cruz somehow become the nominee, and any of his rhetoric is meant, which is doubtful given his Bush campaign staff and CFR/Goldman wife, some patsy will bring suit and suddenly the Constitution will be used to remove the Canadian, Cuban, naturalized U.S. citizen, and British subject, not exactly a guarantee of sole allegiance.

Cruz value is in putting the party in full control. If Trump goes third party, the CFR, TPA and TPP supporters, who want us to be an Ameriunion like Western Europe, see Cruz as the spoiler who can assure GPOe the choice. He knows he can’t be the nominee. If he isn’t removed before the election, he can be after the election. As long as Republicans control Congress, the selection of an eligible president goes to Congress - Article II Section 1 clause 6.

Following the players, which is the business of Washington insiders, is what would a Bernie presidency mean? Obama, with his long connection to the “Burn it down baby” far left, might open the door to prosecuting Hillary to put Bernie in office. A third party might be a good idea. Cruz perfidy, lying, about his constitutional conservative makes him even less attractive than Bernie because if the House exercises the power it has, what they didn’t do during the Obama reign, would render Bernie impotent.

absolutely agree I have argued this repeatedly... Cruz has a built-in Killswitch..an Achilles heel... his Canadian birth... you can do debate all the subtleties of the law but that mean nothing went you get into court....

the political balance will be, after Trump should happen to gone...Cruz will have no friends in DC ....

not with the GOPe...not with the Dems...and by extension... not on the Supreme Court that will rule whether he’s a natural-born citizen or not

So they just have to be able to justify pulling the plug on him... and that legal justification ...well the Obama birthers basically have paved the road for it in the Public’s mind

so it really boils down to when they pull the plug

They sure won’t take him out now ....he’s doing their dirty work for him ...whether wittingly or unwittingly.......

he’s a useful tool to the GOPe and even the Democrats at this point ....he’s causing damaging toTrump

so when will they pull the plug... they won’t allow the plug to be pulled... they won’t even allow a court to rule against him up until the last minute that he can be used a useful tool...

then they wait till their biggest advantage to pull the plug on Cruz....

Its the classic “useful idiot” play

You have the game wired 100%. Ted Cruz and his flock are like sheep being led to the political slaughter!!! The Ted Cruz political destiny is tied to the GOP Establishment, lock stock & barrel. Cruz will be dumped into the political “oblivion” trash can, when the GOP establishment decides it is time to choose their own nominee. SAD.....these folks are far from the sharpest knives in the drawer!!! Go Donald J. Trump........Here’s to a fantastic, successful rally in Rochester, NY this coming Sunday afternoon (3:00 PM EST).

“Trump became fully pro-life.”

If that is true, then why did he say he would continue the funding of Planned Parenthood? Only pro-choice people want to continue the funding of Planned Parenthood.

Let’s face it, the fact is that Trump simply hasn’t spent much time thinking the issue through. He simply blows with the winds of a particular interviewer. Which is how you get to the point of him taking at least 4 positions on the subject last week.

That’s fine. He should just admit it.
