I called their newsroom. Actually got to a desk and a live person. It is not a joke, they intend to go with a satire page. I am flabbergasted that a main stream newspaper would go so low.

You have to go through a couple of voice prompts. Seems to me it was just push 5 each time. Most newsrooms for some reason are at extension 5.
I would suggest simply telling them how disappointed you are that they would publish satire at a serious newspaper.
