(Vanity) The Republican Party Says Your Vote No Longer Counts
April 9, 2016

Posted on 04/09/2016 9:00:02 PM PDT by Enlightened1

The Republican party is not winnning friends or influencing people by saying to the Republican voters in 2016 your vote no long counts.  Think about it!

The popular vote has always been honored by the Delegates unless it was very, very close like in 1952.  We have a public election.  We have all this money being spent.  We have false advertising that say things like, “go vote”, “one man one vote”, “one woman one vote”, “every vote counts”, “you decide 2008”, “you decide 2012” and “you decide 2016”.

Now because the Establishment candidates have lost in the Republican Primary....  They are saying oh no because we changed the rules a way back, and because we lost we are not going to let you win!  The Republican Party in 2016 is saying to the Republican voters that your vote no longer counts.  I believe that is indefensible!

Even when the parties claim they have all this internal power.  When the parties hold themselves out as a public watch dog on tv and radio.  When they hold themselves out with this it is false advertising!  I can show all the instances of  “Your vote counts.  Come join our party”.  This is public fraud, and it’s very dangerous to VOID the votes and discard the WILL of the people.  I can see this even leading to possible class action law suits for false advertising.

In any event, if we sit by and do not get upset, then it will normalize these Establishment fat cats who claim they now APPOINT who can run for office.  If you select the candidates, then is that not a form of canceling the 2016 election?  Therefore, we just wil have ceremonial events every four years instead of actual elections.  Furthermore, are we not just like communist China where the party appoints its own Presidents and successors vs. having a real Primary where every vote counts?

We the people are not their subjects or surfs.  The government are the servants to the people.  That is what we learn in the Delcartion of Indepence, the U.S. Constitutuon and the Bill of Rights.  If this Venezuelan/North Korean/Cuban corrupt election is allowed to get away with this, then what is next to fall?  I think this country will turn into a banana republic.

I can’t express to you how disappointed I am with many so called patriots on TV and radio that cavalierly dismiss this as no big deal.  My guess is they are either completely out of touch with reality or they are working for the other side.

"No, moron, he'll do no such thing!"

Have you ever noticed that Trump and his followers resort to name-calling when they can't win on ideas.

The primary process is to determine delegates, not a direct vote for a candidate.

Until one understands that fact, discussion is meaninglessly mired in error.

In my lifetime, not a single American citizen has directly cast a vote for nor directly elected any man for the presidency of the United States in any General Election. The last time that ever happened, was....never. (Article 2, Section 1, US Constitution)

Look, he’s a dude who had the choice to go on pro wrestling or not. OK, you tell me, why go on pro-wrestling when you don’t have to. I’m not trying to trick you or whatever. My preference is don’t do that when you don’t have to. I mean come on.

Well then why even vote right because it’s pointless?

Why even campaign if it does not matter?

Maybe that can be your campaign motto???

I’m sure it will help win the support of the people......(sarcasm off)

In case you missed this widely reported story:

A Republican National Committee Standing Rules Committee member told the membership Friday that convention delegates are not bound to cast their votes at the convention according to primary vote results in the first round of voting.

Curly Haugland of North Dakota, a long time member of the RNC Standing Rules Committee, sent a letter to the RNC membership at large about this issue. He explained how he came to the conclusion that all Republican delegates who participate in the 2016 Republican National Convention are unbound on each ballot round, including the first.

Lining up previously Trump-committed FIRST BALLOT delegates is what Cruz is doing.

Who cares?

Trump probably had some friends in pro wrestling. I think he is a friend of Vince McMahon. So? Trump also sang the Green Acres them at some awards banquet with Megan Mullaly. So what? Seems to me it’s Trump just having fun. It’s not much of anything really. Aren’t there more substantial issues to base an opinion on?

Well that should be the 2016 Republican Party campaign motto.

I’m sure that will win people over the Republican APPOINTED and not ELECTED like communist China.... (sarcasm off)

At the RNC Rules matter while Immigration laws do not right???

"I doubt that when Trump did the things you are complaining about, he was seriously thinking about running for president in '16!"

By that logic you wouldn't hold against Bill Clinton the fact that he raped Juanita Broderick when he might not have been certain about running for President in 1992.

This may be news to some, but your vote has not counted for a long, long time. The illusion is kept up to prevent the peons from taking up rakes and torches.

Now, this pre-election process is not an election. We are simply being allowed to express our desire for a candidate. The PARTY takes that into consideration but the choice is theirs. This is true of both parties.

“For years I’ve read posts on here slamming this guy or that guy that “has never created a job, never met a payroll, never had a real job outside the government”. Now they’re all supporting Cruz, a man who meets all the above criteria...”

More on point, he fits the criteria of the topic to a T.

Is he friends with the owners? I don't know and frankly, I don't care.

I care far more about the INELILIGIBLES ( Jindal, Rubio, and Cruz ) who ran in the primary, against what it says in the Constitution and the Law!

I care far more about the RNC and GOPEers who believe that we are all idiots and that they all know better than we do.

And I REALLY care far more that America is on the very brink of collapse, hanging on by the tips of her fingernails, at the edge of the highest cliff.

Dude, I am not saying he would be a bad president, or is any weirder than actually wanting to be president at 12 years old and becoming a lawyer to become president. That’s pretty wacked-out in itself, right?

But come on, being on pro-wrestling as YOURSELF, just because you like it, when you are already very successful? What the hell is anyone supposed to make of that? It’s bizarre. Saying nobody should care is ridiculous.
