Cruz uses party rules to pursue delegates. Here’s what Trump thinks of that.

Cruz is trying to win, not by getting the most votes

That's really the only way that he can win. He is not likable and has only gotten votes by being the ant-Trump. A distant 3rd place in FL, SC, VA, OH, GA. The MSM will have a field day with him.

Maybe Team Trump should read the rules about 3rd party candidates before he jumps on that bandwagon.

Running for President is not like waking up one morning and telling your family that your tired of just being a billionaire real estate mogul and so you want to try your hand at space exploration because you know all of these really smart people and you know how to make deals that will get your team in space first because the establishment private space companies are stupid.

Why have primaries??

All the action is in the smokey back rooms.
Thuggish Ted Nd his new found gumba‘s, the Bush family and the GOPe, twist arms, intimidate, and wack you across the head with a billy club

Trump’s hastily assembled delegate-chasing operation

People have said from the start that Cruz's people were good at the ground game--organizing voters and local party leaders face-to-face. Trump supporters laughed. Trump filled stadiums (stadia?) and beat everyone hollow at that. After all, the guy is a TV star. People said the ground game wouldn't matter, because Trump would bypass the party organizations and go directly to the voters. Which I thought was an interesting idea. It looks as if it was almost enough.

It's odd: In his real-estate career, Trump has always excelled through local organizing. He knows how to do favors and call in favors by meeting the right folks and pressing the flesh, whether he's dealing with businesses, unions, or politicians. He knows how to get around some rules and make others work in his favor. For whatever reason, he hasn't successfully applied this ability to political campaigning. I guess it takes time in the political "industry."

Some Trump backers have insisted that the reason he is better than any other candidate is that he always knows how to find a way to win. And that everyone else should stop whining and get out of his way. If he loves America, I'm fine with that. But he needs to find a way to win this, too.

The party system is not some unfair, whine-worthy obstacle to political justice. Making law is a matter of life and death. It's not crazy that people want to talk to each other and know each other in the process. Representative politics, while it can be local and crooked, is at least local. It's the counterweight to the guy with a microphone who can create and exploit the calculated hysteria of paid mobs like BLM and OWS. These are the two sides of our political system, which as Churchill said is the worst kind, except for all the others.

Winning the organizing game is not just necessary to getting elected. It's also part of successful governing once you're in office. It's what works. If he wants to win and govern well, Trump will have to master it.

Aww, c’mon—he also has two or three soundbites like “make America great, Lyin’ Ted, and, oh, yeah-—”suggestions” like “I’d like to punch that guy in the face” and “tere will be riots” if IIIIII don’t get the nomination.

You’re right and I concur. Cruz has lost the very last of my respect.

Cruz’s sleaze has just given Trump the best argument EVER:

“Rigged system that Lyin’ Loser Ted is gaming.”

Cruz is winning nothing this way. This is the work of the GOPe machine using party insiders who have been in place since before the primaries began. They may claim they are for Cruz for the slow learners but the fact is they have no loyalty to Cruz.

This is why the GOPe is so smug they have control of the nomination process. Wake up Cruzers, your boy was taken over by the GOPe and is nothing more then a Rino Nominating political machine now.

[In the meantime, he could have a team look into getting on all ballots via a 3rd Party.]

I believe he filing deadline has passed in some states.

If Trump runs as an independent the GOP will be the third party. Look at how the uniparty is screwing over outsiders (Trump and Bernie) in both so called parties. There are a lot of pissed off voters out there right now. #NeverCruz #NeverRyan

From the beginning?

This so-called Ground Game was non-existent when Cruz had his ass handed to him in the South.

wish one Cruz supporter could explain, without sarcasm, to me how Cruz can win a general election. This is a nation that voted twice for Obama, insists on unlimited freebies, demands special “rights” for gays and illegals, allows BLM to destroy cities, and demands abortion for all.

I think we can gradually over time and with prayer move our nation back to a Judeo-Christian nation with freedom. I can not fathom a Bible thumping Dominionist who to many appears a hypocrite being overwhelmingly elected against the two Dems who support all the above.

It will be hard for any republican to win the presidency because of demographics.

All you can go by right now is polling. At this time trump will lose big to Hillary Cruz has a chance.

. I know Reagan was behind carter at this point in 80 and I know Hillary is very beatable. But according to the polls Cruz does better against Hillary than trump

Cruz is polling 10% higher than Trump against Clinton. THis is significant in that Trump has 100% name recognition as does Clinton, whereas Cruz has a lower name recognition and has the opportunity to define himself to the voters.

In a race against Cruz the dem base will be harder to motivate and turnout on the dem side will be lower. Many more will turnout to vote against Trump. See his Yuge negatives with the general election voter population.

Hope that helps.

I think Trump will WIN the GOP nomination.

You’re right about 3rd Party runs.

Too complicated at this late stage.

Cruz in his zealous ambition has granted Trump a golden opportunity to bury him and the rigged system.

Colorado was the breaking point: complete voter disenfranchisement.
