Not only are you obtuse, you also cherry pick to make your case. Sorry, your tactics will not work with me. What I provided earlier, was not the simple definition, but rather the full blown definition. Trump has received the majority of votes per candidates running. I was not referring to the majority of votes cast.

. From Merriam Webster

majority

noun | ma·jor·i·ty |\mə-ˈjȯr-ə-tē, -ˈjär-\

Popularity: Top 30% of words

Simple Definition of majority

1: a number that is greater than half of a total
2: a number of votes that is more than half of the total number
3: the group or party that is the greater part of a large group

Full Definition of majority

plural ma·jor·i·ties

1 obsolete: the quality or state of being greater

2
a: the age at which full civil rights are accorded
b: the status of one who has attained this age

3
a: a number or percentage equaling more than half of a total (a majority of voters) (a two-thirds majority)
b: the excess of a majority over the remainder of the total: margin (won by a majority of 10 votes)
c: the greater quantity or share (the majority of the time)

4: the group or political party having the greater number of votes (as in a legislature)

5: the military office, rank, or commission of a major

Let’s make this easy for you - unless Trump gets 1237 delegates, he has not earned a majority of the delegates and will not get the nomination. Regardless of how you define majority, that is how the GOP defines it, and that will be what determine who will be the nominee.

We are not in dispute with regards to that. So what are you talking about? If you are talking about my statement that Trump has a majority of votes cast fro a Republican candidate, that is true. He doesn’t have a majority of votes cast, but he has the largest majority of votes cast for a candidate in the Republican primaries.

That is called a plurality - less than a majority, but more than any other candidate.

A candidate’s followers don’t know the difference between a majority and a plurality? I think I see a problem here...
