GOP New Yorkers Reject Ted Cruz At GOP GALA.

Posted on 04/15/2016 6:38:39 AM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Last evening was neither a pleasant nor productive event for Ted Cruz. Writing relative to the GOP Gala event last evening, held in the "Donald Trump built) Hyatt Regency Hotel on Park Avenue/Grand Central Station, "Politico" writers, Jimmy Viekland & Ben Schreckinger wrote: "regarding the speeches given by John Kasich & Ted Cruz--- "but, back inside, Trumps rivals were getting an icy/cool reception". Cruz mouthed some idiotic verbage, and was totally ignored by the crowd of NY STATE, GOP Biggies. Trump was "Their Man"!!!

"The audience, however, was totally uninterested in what Cruz & Kasich had to say, applauding so indiffertently, that at the end of the speeches, Emcee Cox, urged the audience to try again with another ovation--to very litte or no effect. Folks, New York Republicans have the "real" "readout on losers John Kasich & Ted Cruz, and they want no part of either of them. And to add, insult and injury to both Kasich and Cruz....the massive New York Post" endorsed Donald J. Trump for POTUS last evening.

Methinks....Ted Cruz has seen better days. HIs poll numbers are dropping like a heavy anchor thrown into a deep sea!!! The Mr. Cruz days of fifteen minutes of fame are coming to a rapid end....over the next few weeks. Sad....that so many good, decent folks have been conned by this shyster Ted Cruz and his bevy of GOP Establishment "Rats". GO DONALD J. TRUMP!!!

When this is all over Cruz will look back and ask himself WTF happened in the south? Maybe he shouldn’t of gone “Preacher Ted” in South Carolina. The folks in the Palmetto State and in the rest of the south saw another “religious” charlatan politician when he did that and cost him the region.

But, but, you told us earlier that Cruz is a card carrying member of the GOPe. If he’s the insider you’re telling us he is, the establishment should be loving him. Maybe, instead, the NY GOP is a bunch of squishy moderates and former democrats like Kasich and Trump.

every state is glorious and free to choose their own destiny....they are all great!!!

Unless it's problematic for Trump then they're all cheats and liars and we need a federally imposed primary system.

I'd ask the black babies in NYC about how liberal it is, but they were unavailable for comment.

Dodge the statement. Houston Texas values suck! Great for Texas.

Then why show up? I could’ve wrote a better speech than the one he gave, you would think he could’ve dispensed with the routine robotic stump speech and tailor make a speech more suitable to the N.Y. audience. But then again he’s so used to attacking Trump, you take that out of his speeches, there’s not much left.

But you didn’t say the same about that awful Sarah Palin speech in Wisconsin. Did you?

it just proves Ted Cruz was right about New York Values. They are angry because he’s right about them.

There was supposed to be a YUGE anti Trump protest at that gala last night, but I’ve seen nothing about it here this morning. Anybody know what happened?

I heard that only a couple hundred showed up, if even that many. As the evening program inside the hotel went on, the protesting crowd dwindled to about 20-30 or so who were still milling and shouting....in front of a nearby Italian restaurant!

The NYPD is good at crowd control, and close access to the various hotel entrances, front, sides and back, were effectively cordoned off.

This handful of protesters were against Donald Trump, not Ted Cruz. According to media, FNC, CNN & MSNBC there were supposed to be tens of thousands of protesters there to disrupt the GOP Gala dinner. Only a very few hundred of the low life verminn showed up, and their protest melted quickly. Of course the NYPD did their usual outstanding job of containing the Democrat , Soros, riff-raff.
