U.S. Senate race in Arizona: Ann Kirkpatrick in dead heat with John McCain
RealClearPolitics ^ | April 14, 2016 | Earl de Berge

Phoenix, Arizona, April 15, 2016. Incumbent U.S. Senator John McCain is locked in a dead heat with Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick as both receive 42 percent of a test vote taken statewide in April. This leaves only 16 percent undecided as of the time of this survey, compared to 25 percent in January.

It also appears that at least one traditional voting pattern is changing in Arizona. For many years, rural voters have tended to lean Republican in most races, but in 2016 Kirkpatrick is outpolling McCain by 43 to 39 percent in the state’s rural counties in a modest but important pattern we have noticed since January.

The fact that the people in Arizona have reelected John McCain 5 times is mind boggling to me.

McCain should have followed the Harry Reid path this election and had the grace and good sense to finally walk off into the sunset. If reelected he will be 80 when his new term starts and 86 when it ends (provided he makes it that long).

Watch the Presidential primary process. The local party bosses, like Mafia Dons, conrol their fiefdoms with an iron hand and a generous campaign checkbook - when local politicians cooperate!

I do not think McCain can beat Kirkpatrick.
Arizona is now a pretty red state, with the exception of Phoenix and the reservations, but McCain’s perfidy.
I do believe Dr. Ward can and will beat him in the primary, unless the Republican party Cochrans her. Which I expect.

Then People like me, either leave that ling blank, write in Ward or vote Kirkpatrick. All of which would be better than McCain.
