Well, part of my comment was slightly "tongue-in-cheek".
In states that got to vote, where hypothetically 60% of the vote did not go to trump, that 60% was not a monolith or a single entity, that 60% was split among 5-16 other candidates
Yep....but it doesn't matter how many candidates were in the race.....60% of the US Republican populace picked "others" over Trump.
The same observation applies to Cruz also. The difference is......I understand "exactly" how much opposition there is to Cruz.....while the Trump supporter I was responding to, didn't seem to grasp that fact about Trump.
In Ted Cruz’s state of Texas he got 43% of the vote so I guess by your logic he lost to the other 57% and they should get the delegates.
Nope, not my logic. I was speaking as a "it should be fair/change the rules" meme advocate.
Trump (or Cruz) should only get the portion of delegates that their voters gave them. It's only "fair" to the other candidates/voters.....and allows them (all 5-16) to stay in the primary contest to the very end.
So yeah, we'll only give Cruz his 43% in Texas....just like Trump can only have 47% of the delegates in Florida....not all 99.
Think they will buy that?
They don't care - they'd rather Hillary than Cruz or Trump and Cruz is playing willing cat's-paw to help them throw it away - I thought Scott Walker took a dive but Cruz has bested his sorriness...

If you don't understand why they are pushing this meme of Republican primary elections are corrupt, Republicans are cheaters, etc, just to benefit their Socialist buddies: Hilary/Bernie, I don't know what to tell ya.
If you are offended because I inferred Smerconish was one....a fellow Freeper called me to task about that and I conceded Smerconish, might have been playing "devils advocate" and rescinded my statement.
