TRUMP Likely to Win West Virginia Vote But Lose the Delegates to Cruz
Gateway Pundit ^ | April 16, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Donald Trump is set to win West Virginia but GOP elites will likely give the delegates to Ted Cruz anyway.

It’s the latest state where Cruz will lose but garner more delegates than Donald Trump. Cruz supporters call this a “good ground game.” The Politico reported: Donald Trump has a new enemy in the fight for national convention delegates: the alphabet.

Trump is well-positioned for a resounding victory in West Virginia’s May 10 primary, but his win will be accompanied by a delegate selection process stacked in favor of people with last names at the beginning of the alphabet — rather than his most committed supporters.

It’s a quirk of West Virginia’s mind-bogglingly complex delegate election process that has the Trump campaign on red alert and seems likely to leave the mogul with weaker support at the national convention than he’s expected to earn in the state’s primary. It’s yet another convoluted primary system likely to add fuel to Trump’s complaints that the rules of the Republican nomination process are rigged.

Trump didn’t even know the rules in his own state for registering to vote in the primary. He’s a joke.

Seems to me a lot of fed up people are wanting to vote for him. You have a problem with that?

Cruz is filthy. Can you imagine him getting the nominee without voters? This is going to be a slaughter in November. Madam president will happen. The GOPe are the dumbest people alive.

Cruz is not a Conservative.

He’s a GOPe water boy.

He can only win caucuses where the party has an iron fist.

He can’t win primaries.

The Party can block Trump. They can give the nomination to Ted. They can’t get us to vote for him, or him to win the states they gave to Ted to block Trump.

Hillary Clinton will be the next president if you folks keep this up.

The GOPe can live with that. Can you?

Evidently yes. Evidently you like the GOPe just like it is. Evidently you only play lip-service to overturning the Leftist GOPe.

Why do you bother coming here, just to disrupt for the GOPe?

Well, okay, but so do we.
They will lead Ted one way or another, straight to hell.
Nobody except die hard Cruz supporters will ever vote for him.
I predict that a Cruz delegate selection, and the concurrent Cruz supporters salivation, will lead to a stunning defeat on a magnitude that reduce the top to political irrelevance.

Cruz would lose 32 states, including Florida AND Ohio, Kasich be damned.
My prediction, however I simply don’t believe that any of this will happen at all.
It’s Trump. Get used to it

From your description, the West Virginia process for delegate selection is pretty much the same as our process in Maryland. And IT’S NOT COMPLICATED at all — except, perhaps, for voters with low IQs.

My family did (early) voting yesterday. On our ballot you could vote for your preferred candidate for the Republican nominee. You could also vote for “up to three” candidates for “Delegates to the Republican National Convention” for our congressional district. There were 37 candidates for delegate for our district. Three of those 37 were identified as Trump delegates ON THE BALLOT LIST and three as Cruz delegates. All but simpletons would be able to identify and select the three Trump delegates if they wanted to vote for them. NONE OF THIS IS COMPLICATED AND IS CERTAINLY NOT “UNFAIR’” OR CONFUSING.

“I think the republican party leadership has decided.... they ain’t gonna give the nomination to King Trumpy.... they’ll lose before they nominate him. “

No! Like CO, WY is another case where Trump was just not prepared. He did not understand that each state has its own unique election rules...each was a failure on his part!

People who blame the RNC or Cruz for these results are just not being fair!

I don't know what is worse. Watching the GOPe act like Brown Shirts, sheer audacity and wickedness of Cruz, or watching people on Free Republic applaud and cackle at this immorality political Fascism.

He didn’t even understand his own state’s rules enough to get his kids registered to vote for him. No way he’s gonna know the rules in the other 49 states.

Now they’re openly congratulating the GOPe for Ted’s wins too.
FReepers are not GOPe supporters by any stretch of the imagination.
Someone acting as if we are, doesn’t belong on this forum.

Absolutely correct D1. Think of it, for over years and years, FR has led the charge against the GOPe and their establishment goons, NOBODY in good conscience, who calls themselves a true conservative, could support the un-American policies of the RINO wing of the UniParty(c), not their collaboration with the 'RATS, not their open border policies, their supporting the Cheap Labor Express, and when we elected an allegedly Republican majorities in the House and the Senate, what exactly did they do to halt the treasonous behavior of the Obamunist regime?

The answer is NOTHING.

And NOW we are expected to believe in, and to support the GOPe's new 'champion' Ted Cruz?!? The same candidate now endorsed by Jeb Bush and the Bush Crime Syndicate, Mitt Romney, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, and the rest of those scum sucking RINO's?

If someone supports the GOPe, they are NO conservative and they need to GTFO.
