Quite the contrary, not holding minority students, especially Blacks, to academic standards to assuage perceived white guilt, is racist as it will leave these students uneducated, unprepared to hold jobs and forces them into continued government dependency.
Central High School, Newark, NJ. Any student who applied himself was called “Uncle Tom”, “Oreo Cookie “, “Race Traitor “, and even “white mofo”. By the “teachers “ and administrators. This was back in the seventies.
You sort of stole my point. This woman speaks of “white privilege”. I spent 2 years living in Japan during my Naval service. 4 Japanese worked in my area EVERY day. In two years, I never saw any of the 4 be even one minute late! I also never saw any of them slacking off even one minute. Indeed, while all us “white” sailors were clowning around, being late, leaving for lunch early and so on and so on.
The Japanese were ALWAYS and I do mean ALWAYS working hard. In slack times, they would FIND something to do. Up and down the streets in Japan before 8 am, anyone that has been there will attest to company after company having all their employees out front doing calisthenics.
This woman is a real nut job and her motivation has more to do with “money” I suspect than making any point about anything. I don’t know exactly what the color of Japanese skin is. Never thought about it. But, it ain’t WHITE.

While I found several faults with the Japanese management style, I could only admire their work ethic. One night I had to come back to work at 11pm to monitor a special project that I had going. As I drove through the parking lot I saw the president coming out of the building. Not 10feet behind him were 8 other Japanese bodies. No one left before the boss.

This should be posted all over the internet, making it clear that this woman teaches at St. Cloud university. If this university, or any university wants to allow racist crap like this to be taught by their faculty, then it should widely advertised to anyone who is thinking about spending tuition money there.

If minorities/women aren’t offended by the open message of affirmative action policies (that they are inferior and it can’t even be remedied by half a century of lowered expectations), why would they take offense. They just want to get paid for being genetically inferior...

Japan can keep their management style in terms of waiting for the boss to leave; he’s paid the big bucks for giving a sh!t that much. That may also explain why Japan is a creepy childless place now...

That is why Asians don’t get affirmative action preferences/freebies; they are as superior as white men in comparison to what our government apparently perceives as less-evolved peoples.
This “professional educator” is just ripping off a similar headline a couple of months back where “white privilege” entailed having parents read to young children...
Key the IDIOT (professional education consultant and teacher trainer, Hackman’s telling, virtually everything associated with being a good student in modern education is actually just a tool of racist white supremacy.)
Those are behaviors that lead to success regardless of the majority race in a given country. I’m not sure what this woman thinks she’s accomplishing, other than undermining black students.
