Nah, it makes total sense. Hundreds of 'Trump delegates' are not really Trump delegates. They will be folks who are required to vote for Trump on the first ballot but otherwise have no loyalty to Trump and will gladly ditch him on the 2nd ballot. Have you somehow missed all the squawking over 'stolen delegates' over the past few weeks?

The GOP’s shameful treatment of the Tea Party was the last straw for me. Note that the Tea Party and Trump both brought lots of voters to the polls but the GOP stabbed both in the back. The GOP is corrupt and hopeless. I would like to see Trump go third party. A lot of people are fed up with the status quo and would like a real alternative.

It wasn’t even a budget, since we haven’t had one of those in 7+ years. It was one of those cromnibus monstrosities they’ve been using to gratify Obama and further ruin the country.

Yes. It is rare for exact match to happen in history or opposing political parties, but I can’t think of any non-incumbent primary where politicians opposing other politicians hasn’t happened.
