Walker: I'll support Trump if he's the GOP nominee

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker now vows to support whoever the Republican Party puts forward as its nominee at July's convention in Cleveland, even if that person is Donald Trump.

"I will support the Republican running against (Democratic front-runner) Hillary Clinton in the fall -- whoever that is," Walker told reporters Wednesday, according to a report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

So is Walker cool now, or is he still part of the evil Establishment?

If Walker means what he says, that's great.

We can always rely on you to speak up for the evil establishment and whoever is against Trump.

It's what you do.

I always thought that Walker was thrust on the national stage too soon, and the Chamber of Commerce - cheap labor cabal was working hard too form his views. He always seemed to be at his best when he was speaking from the heart.

That being said, it makes me nervous that the "Walker" in his name is the same ancestor as the "Walker" in the Bush dynasty name. That's what was posted here last year. I haven't seen a refutation of that.

The establishment can go to hell. So can Trump for funding them for 40 years. How’s that for sticking up for em?

When Walker speaks on something like this, you may not see the strings being controlled by the RNC, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there. Test balloon.

I liked Walker way back when....Glad he left early...think one reason was that he has a good work ethic....

Tell me how many days Cruz has showed up in the Senate.

No, it means Trump is going to be the nom. It’s time for all conservatives get on the Trump Train and defeat the Hildabeast.

Walker was in a tough spot.. He and all Sconnie republicans were thrust into the national stage with all the advancements we’ve made over the last 6 years.

Heck, that’s the only reason Rience has his current job.

From Wisconsin:
Senator Rob Johnson - businessman, largely stayed out of the primary here.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan - towed the party line
Gov. Walker - towed the party line - pretty much had to..
Probably the 2nd most popular sheriff in the country - David Clark - talked up both Trump and Cruz (did get upset with cruz over the Chicago comments) largely stayed out of the primary.

Walker is a solid dude - it just so happens he has friends way up high now.. I mean real friends.. what do you do..?

Walkers one of the good guys... he’ll never be pure Establishment... This process has twisted some of our best - including Ted Cruz... Hopefully we’ll all be united in July... choosing the right path...

Its called unifying the party

It is stupid to take this to the convention, that only helps Hillary

GOPe should be backing the members of their party and we have selected Trump

If Cruz was leading at this point and Trump had no path to win on first ballot, I would want Trump to step down as well.

Nobody’s unifying around Trump. And if Cruz were leading, Trump supporters on here have already admitted they’d vote Democrat. They still will if Cruz wins at the convention. The party’s divided no matter who wins.
