Ted Cruz: Trump Is ‘Afraid’ to Debate
Breitbart ^ | 04/20/16 | Pam Key

Posted on 04/20/2016 8:23:27 PM PDT by writer33

Wednesday while campaigning in Hershey PA, Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)said his rival Donald Trump was “afraid of a debate” with him because he lacked “substantive solutions” on policy.

Cruz said, “What I agree is that the Democratic process works, and Donald whines and complains when the voters reject him. The voters are going to decide. We’ve won five states in a row. Donald won his home state, which surprised nobody. And it’s the people — we are seeing Republicans uniting behind our campaign. Because if Donald is the nominee, Hillary wins and she wins by double digits. The stakes for our country are too great to continue down this disastrous economic road and this foreign policy that empowers our enemies. And so I couldn’t be more encouraged at seeing the unity we are having across the country. Donald’s desperation had everyone wanting to just give him the race. It shows that he’s scared when the people decide. You know, if Donald had confidence in his positions, we’d have a debate in Pennsylvania, before Pennsylvania votes. What is Donald Trump saying to the people of Pennsylvania that he thinks they don’t deserve a debate? What does it say about the corrupt big government Democrats that they’re willing to have debates. That Hillary Clinton is more willing to have her positions challenged than Donald Trump? I think that’s disgraceful. I think any candidate owes it to the voters to defend their positions.

And I’ve said when he gets the 1237 mark, I’ll vote for him.

It really is time to stop the nonsense and get on with turning things for this country.

Ted; John - grow up and let us get on with it.

We will.

Most of us already see, some of us can't.

There is no mathematical way for Cruz to win, not even on the so called second ballot.

It's not happening. It just isn't.

He really should save his political career and stop being used by the GOPe. It's time.

We will see if Trump can win it on a second ballot. We will see. If he does, he’s the nominee and I’ll vote Trump. Because a can of orange juice is better than Hillary.

Trump’s a businessman. I see no evidence of leading that he’s showed anywhere on the campaign trail. None whatsoever.

That's right. He is a businessman. He holds himself accountable for the success of his own companies and employees. Lawyers and politicians contrIbute NOTHING to society. They are scavengers. They are blood sucking vultures. Just look at Cruz. That unethical slime ball doesn't have an honest bone in his pathetic lying body.

As for your second statement, where the hell have you been since June 16, 2015?

Trump was the first to open up and lead discussion on illegal immigrants, rebuilding our military, taking care of our vets, unfair trade practices with China, building a wall to keep illegals and drugs from entering the US. He's going to eliminate Common Core by eliminating the Dept. of Education and granting the states right to educate our children. The EPA and Enrgy departments are toast under his administration because their regulations are destroying business. Obamacare will be gone. He's going to flatten the tax tiers and cut business taxes.

Now look at all the copy-cat, me too BS from Cruz and Kasich. We were supposed to be impressed that Cruz went to the border to investigate? The guy is a joke. Those two are not leaders. They are empty suit bullshit politicians collecting paychecks. Trump issues and signs the FRONT of peoples' paychecks.

How about leading in delegates, votes received and states won?

Who is setting the agenda for the other candidates? Do you think the border, immigration, and trade would be big issues if Trump were not in the race?

If they debate on structural engineering then Trump wins. If they debate on how to steal delegates then Cruz wins.

Cruz was doing that in 2011. It was Cruz who walked over to the House of Representatives and pissed off Boehner in the process to lobby against the Gang of Eight.

Cruz cannot get to 1,237 in the primaries. Only Trump can and he will. Cruz and Kasich are in the same boat. They want a contested convention so they can steal the nomination from Trump. Not to worry. Trump will have what he needs on the first ballot.

Yes, lets fight the presumptive nominee all the way to the convention in the hope that your guy will win on a second ballot, thwarting the will of many voters. Talk about how to win friends and influence ppl. You conservative review, Levinites are such hypocrites.

It was Cruz who handed teddy bears to illegal children as they crossed our border.

It was Trump who said “Build The Wall.”

It was Cruz who said we need 500 percent more H1-Bs.

It was Trump who said we needed no more.

You’re welcome to my share. I listened a bit today for the first time in awhile. He’s started believing his own PR and he’s rude to his own callers. He’s not as important as he imagines himself to be.
