(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump, appearing on Thursday's "Today" show, said transgenders should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."
"So if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?" host Matt Lauer asked Trump.
"That is correct," Trump said.
Asked for his view on the North Carolina bathroom controversy, Trump said the state has "paid a big price" for requiring transgenders to use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.
"Leave it the way it is," he said.
"One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday, saying 'Leave it the way it is right now.' There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all of the business that's leaving and all of the strife, and that's on both sides -- you leave it the way it is.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the -- the economic punishment that they're taking."

Trump said he doesn't know if he has any transgender people working for him. "I probably do, I really don't know."
Trump noted that there's a "big move to create new bathrooms" for transgenders.
"First of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."

He’s all over the map on this issue. He thinks NC should be left alone in terms of its laws but would let Bruce Jenner use the little girl’s room. He needs to think this through and get right on the issue. It’s not that difficult. It’s an important women’s issue with the raise of a rape culture throughout the world. There are approximately 3 fake women in the country. The only person speaking clearly on this is the great Germaine Greer.

Let’s face it, Trump simply isn’t used to public restrooms. The ones he’s forced to use while on tour have been cleared out by his security.
This morning The Donald said it should be changed to make an exception for the life of the mother.

Can’t disagree. It’s ridiculous. And, while I honestly haven’t been a big Trump supporter, I haven’t been a big opponent, either, and was prepared to accept the inevitable. But, this one really makes me scratch my head.
What is the over/under for how many times Trump changes or "clarifies" his position during the next 48 hours?
Frankly, this is going to end up being a USSC issue and final decision (at least in our lifetimes). A President will not have much impact on it except to whether the Department of Justice chooses to act or how much it supports or condemns case contentions to come before the USSC.
I’ll tell you my worst fear. It’s the one where Ted Cruz continues with his convention 1st ballot denial strategy and goes full-bore amnesty to get the California Primary Hispanic vote that denies Trump his last pre-convention 1237 mark.
This, and other articles like it are just delaying and damaging forays meant to deny rather than advocate. It is not going to work.. But good luck with all that, anyway.
