How long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? (Vanity)
4/23/2016 | Myself

Posted on 04/22/2016 10:11:45 PM PDT by Crucial

The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is egregious. It seems it was created to cripple the economy of the next incoming president by hamstringing American taxpayers. The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is either the average cost of a bronze plan for however many months you didn't have coverage or 2.5% of your income, whichever is greater. I used an online ObamaCare tax penalty calculator. So if you are a married couple making $50,000 per year and you couldn't afford the marketplace premiums for the whole year, you would pay $2,085. That's a pretty big payment just for insurance and it is money that won't go back into the economy. This amount is assuming the price of these plans stays at their present levels which we all know they won't.

So my question is how long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? Can he not suspend the ObamaCare tax without Congressional approval?

There are even plenty of single college students who would appreciate not having to pay this tax as well as young people not in in college. Yet, Trump just says he's going to replace it with something wonderful and gives no timetable. I think it's time to flesh out a plan before running against the Hildebeast.

that is a lie.
I heard him say it repeatedly repeal and replace...
that is what he has said. repeatedly.

You can say you don’t believe him, that’s fine but that is exactly what he says... you need to listen to a few of his meetings.

I have a hunch Trump would bully the wussy Republicans more than the Democrats and media combined. I think this is what the wussy Republicans are afraid of.

He’s going to wave his Magic Don Wand and it will happen. Just like Apple making iPhones in America, like the wall being built and paid for by Mexico and how we’ll win so much we’ll get tired of winning. You know, fantasy.

If the GOPe is gone, that works for me.

This is a clever tactic to never bother listening to anything Trump says and then claiming to be a source on what he actually says.

Let me try.

Ted Cruz never says that he’ll repeal obamacare on day one.

It’s not dead it is still gobbling up victims. I know of no provisions that have been terminated and patient and provider penalties were designed to escalate after obama leaves office in 2017.
I dont recall this being a trump issue?

Received my gas bill for April and noticed the cost had gone up slightly over the previous month even though the CCF went down. Part of that increase is $1.05 for a pipeline safety fee. True it is “only a dollar” but it seems like every month someone is adding another dollar for some fee or another. We used to say we were being “nickled and dimed to death”. Now we’re being “dollared to the poor house”.

This is too rich.

All the Trump supporters who denigrated the man and his efforts to stop Obama care at a time when it could have been stopped are now asking the man who wants to extend Obama care to include everyone: when will he do what Ted Cruz was trying so valiantly alone, or virtually alone, to do? They ask the man who was funding Ted Cruz' adversaries, and our adversaries, in that battle, when will the briber of politicians reverse course and cut a deal they like?

The answer was confided to the GOPe in Hollywood Florida, folks. Donald Trump is about to unveil a new persona, the old persona was a lie of convenience or, rather, opportunism, his new persona will cut deals and everything will be as it was before-except America will be great again.

I love your projection.

It would be humorous if it weren't quite so obvious.

You presume so much that just isn't so. Tis a sad parody of what you could be.

Cheers. A toast for your hoped for rehabilitation when 1237 is reached.

There will be no second ballot, it's over and you need to rethink.

You are perfectly aware although you pretend otherwise that I will support whomever gets to 1237.

I suspect if Trump fall short you will have to examine your soul and tell us where your loyalties lie.

I have never suggested you were a #nevertrump, and you know that perfectly well, so kindly fore go the outrage.

If you do the math, it's over. It's called addition, try it.

Once you can show us how Cruz and his close to 700 delegates ever gets the nomination, kindly demonstrate it.

If you are as smart as you suggest, perhaps you could start a movement to bring Cruz supporters back to reality. There is no longer a path for him to win. It's either Trump, or some nightmare from the GOPe.

You are now free to choose.

the man who wants to extend Obama care to include everyone

That, I hope is an unintended convoluted misapprehension of the clearly stated facts. Which are:
“We are going to repeal and replace obamacare, REPEAL and REPLACE”

that statement you seem to have made is a complete incongruity with the true and stated policy, a recorded policy description. Surely, you know it.

Perhaps what was meant is that people like you, just don’t believe the clearly pronounced words within Donald Trumps very clear and repetitive statement.

Yes, perhaps that would be more correct! You don’t believe. Your free to choose to believe whatever you want. Of course you can.

But to assert that the words “repeal and replace” don’t mean “repeal and replace”, but that they actually mean “EXPAND OBAMACARE”... is a blatant representation of what was said.

We have all heard Donald speak at his massive meetings, he says it over and over, at least two or three dozen times a week. There are 100’s of thousands of witnesses and recordings galore.
Are you deaf? Do you believe your freeper friends who have been to the meetings are lying to you about the actual words they have heard?
Do we need to send you a set of headphones? (rhetorical question, to which the answer is clearly “no”.)
What you mean is either Donald is a liar, or that you don’t believe him, though he is well meaning.

But it seems you choose to hear, ignore and then misrepresent what has been said this very week. But repeating words that were NOT spoken in meetings this week which I have heard repeatedly... as if Donald actually said them, is less than honest... and more along the lines of deception.

Not cool. Not right. Not true. and NOT you.
Best Wishes.

I have never even intimated that Trump has failed to say that he will "repeal and replace" Obama care but that is not the only utterance he has made about healthcare and who should pay for it. He has explicitly stated that everyone should have healthcare.

Hence any honest observer is entitled to say the Trump favors replacing Obama care with an even broader government undertaking.

“... He has explicitly stated that everyone should have healthcare ...”

Everyone already DOES have healthcare.
The question is ... who should pay for it.

Mr. Trump has stated that he does not want to let people die in the streets.

And he wants the government to pay for the healthcare of people who were dying in the streets.
