Senator Ted Cruz Reveals New Campaign Strategy – “Become More Likable”…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | April 23, 2016 | Sundance

Um, yeah, good luck with that.

According to the latest Reuters Polling snapshot Senator Cruz has dropped another 5 points this week –LINK . This comes on the heels of several weeks of polling data outlining how Ted Cruz has a significant problem with “authenticity”.

Readers will note we have discussed this several times. The more the general electorate get to see and know Ted Cruz, the more his support drops. There is a direct correlation.

The Associated Press now reports the Cruz Camp is making an effort to train Senator Cruz to become more likable:

[…] The lengths Cruz has to go in boosting his standing with voters were starkly evident in a focus group of Republican women this week in Pittsburgh. When the women were asked what they knew about Cruz, several described him as “untrustworthy” or a “liar.” GOP front-runner Donald Trump has spent weeks assailing Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted.”

And when focus group participants were asked what animal best described Cruz, some said a “mosquito” or a “hornet.”

“You just want to bat it away,” one woman said. The session was organized by Public Opinion Strategies and Purple Strategies as part of the “Walmart Moms” series that focuses on female voters. (read more)

Cruz could dress up like Shirley Temple and sing, "On The
Good Ship Lollipop"....... and he still wouldn't be likable.

‘Miss America’: GOP Bigwig Alex Castellanos Claims House Speaker ‘What Delegates Really Want’ – Breitbart

QUOTE:
Neither this convention nor the Republican Party wants Ted Cruz as their nominee for President. Republican regulars suspect that in a general election, he would be Richard Nixon without the charm, Barry Goldwater with diminished powers of attraction. Cruz, they fear, is the narrowest possible expression of the Republican Party’s appeal and would lead the ticket to slaughter. It is a testament to the routine occurrence of the impossible this election that the candidate most party regulars initially feared as the worst possible nominee is now their both their runner-up and Miss Congeniality. If Ted Cruz really wants to win this election, he should buy a disguise and stop campaigning until Christmas. Perhaps Senator Cruz has also figured that out: His lead has grown in Wisconsin as he has ducked FOX’s Sean Hannity offer to give him an hour of free television for 10 straight days.

That’s it!

You nailed it. I never could put my finger on it, but you did.

And that might be why he gets away with getting as upset about things as he does.

Ummmm....he laid such a great ground game...all his ducks lined up since his teens...and forgot 1 teeny tiny detail...he inspires nothing but creepiness and phoniness.

He needs a firm that specializes in erasing your past image and gives you a new one...if that is possible...

and at 1 time he was high on my list...remember b4 Trump got in it was jeb..linseed...carly...etc...

Cruz's career beltway politician traits include dodging and deflecting
questions, as he did w/ Hannity.....responding to a simple question like
a slippery practiced Beltway pol.

Cruz could even bring back tarring and feathering and riding pols out of town on a rail.

You mean the Cuban’s who have been some of the most consistent conservative allies a party could want?

Imagine the chaos in Florida alone.

Cruz/Rubio, fired up base, fully operational ground game, and more volunteers than we know what to do with?

This IS what you mean right?

Jedi.

Great point.

You have a guy, Trump, who worked hard and made it happen for himself and his family. He wakes early and works hard even once he didn’t have to. He talks to the rest of us with genuine belief we could all succeed if we tried.

The other guy, Cruz, has also worked hard for his achievements but in a different way, and the achievements have been political. But he speaks DOWN to us as if he were anointed by the Almighty. He lectures. He preaches. It’s very unappealing. Who does he think he is?

I supported him for the senate and initially for POTUS. Sent $$$.

I can't stand to look or listen to him last several months. I did NOT vote for him!

He looks awkward when he waves to the crowd!

Ya know, I had the news on and they cut to a newser with Cruz. In the past (yesterday) Cruz couldn’t speak without using the words “Donald Trump” always negatively, of course.

At this newser, the part they dipped into, he never mentioned Trump. This was a REAL change. I already know that lyin, cheatin, sleazy, phony, Ted Cruz hasn’t “really” changed any of those attributes, but he is pivoting because he is losing badly. Will it matter? I don’t know, but it can’t hurt. 24/7 trashing Trump (probably on Glenn Beck’s and Levin’s advice) wasn’t working.

I'd love to see that photoshopped...Cruz dressed like Shirley Temple.

For starters.

I never cared if Cruz was likeable, capable, or anything else for that matter. The man is unqualified per the natural born clause and needs no further exploration for the presidency.

Good piece.

But the problem w/ Cruz laying low and is that he’s in love with the sound of his own voice....

.....and he figures each time he’s on TV or gets his mug in the papers, that increases his earning power.

Tin Ear Ted’s likeability campaign will basically consist of telling people who don’t like him that they are basically ignorant and uneducated, and if they only knew how likeable he was they’d like him.
