Cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point learned about different faiths earlier this month by touring Jersey City's diverse cultural groups.
The cadets spent time with Coptic, Jewish and Muslim groups, among others, during a three-day tour of the city for their class, "€œWinning the Peace," which has annually brought cadets to Jersey City for over a decade.
During their April 15 visit to the Muslim Federation of New Jersey at 530 Montgomery St., cadets asked questions about Islam, ate traditional Pakistani dishes and attended a prayer session with the local Muslim community.

He struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you? She said: Whatsoever the people conceal, Allah will know it. He said: Gabriel came to me when you saw me. He called me and he concealed it from you. I responded to his call, but I too concealed it from you (for he did not come to you), as you were not fully dressed. I thought that you had gone to sleep, and I did not like to awaken you, fearing that you may be frightened. Zero objections from me regarding Sikh soldiers in the U.S. armed forces. They know Islam, and oppose it. They also fight with honor and ferocity.
Sorry, you give an exception to Sikhs for beards and turbans, you have no more boundary to ANY uniform alteration, for moslems or any other group.
That may be, if one feels constrained by artificial standards of “fairness” with regards to Islam in the military (or anyplace else).
