I tried to pay my electric bill over the phone today as usual. Now in order to do that I must register my banking information in an on-line database along with a username and password. I called to find out WTF?

The federal government demanded this change according to the lady at the utility company. I was flabbergasted.

I can report that the headline chosen by ZeroHedge is false, or at least not supported by the letter they show. They appear to have fabricated the “you have 30 days to close your account” part.

But I guess it’s safe to assume that everything else ZeroHedge has published over the years is 100% true, never exaggerated. Because it’s on the internet, you know.
