Donald Trump’s sweeping victories Tuesday night move the Manhattan billionaire a step closer to winning the Republican nomination for president and to pulling off the most improbable political feat in modern American history. But Trump’s story is about more than a first-time candidate’s stunning rise. It is also about the humiliating defeat suffered by an increasingly isolated political and media class who still do not understand the causes and scope of Trump’s populist revolt.
In his book “Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010,” Charles Murray wrote about the rise of a new American upper class and the “narrow elites” who shape America’s economy, culture and government. The number of players who dominate the direction of media, politics and finance is surprisingly concentrated for a country as sprawling and diverse as the United States. And yet almost all of these “influencers” across Manhattan and Washington were incapable of blunting Trump’s meteoric rise. Time and again over the past year, Washington insiders and media moguls misread the mood of working-class voters and their attraction to the populist message championed by Trump.

Whatever your disdain for their particular ideas, it is Freeper courtesty to ping people when you mention them.
That's not the worst danger Trump faces. At the end of the day productive corporations and wealthy individuals can deal with Trump. He may take away cheap labor, but he'll give them tax breaks and create opportunities to expand domestic manufacturing.
It's the ideological globalists that will stop at nothing to destroy Trump. They believe that globalism, like its predecessor Marxism, is the wave of the future, the last best hope for humanity. You see it in the global warming nutcases who want transnational governance to save the Earth. You see it in the open borders idiots like Merkel who invite millions of islamists to invade their countries. These people are outright insane.
Trump needs to patch things up with the sane elements of the elite and isolate the globalist free traitors, making it clear that their days of unaccountable anti-American scheming are over.

Shockingly, they do do that for Presidential Motorcades. I’ve been in DC when one rolled through. They use the motorcycles to block traffic at intersections as they can get through traffic better than full sized vehicles and quicker.

I tangled with one anti-Trump poster who had been here for at least ten years and had never said a single word about the GOP primaries in 2008 and 2012, no comment on Giuliani or Newt or Fred or Santorum or Mitt or Paul. Nada. But Trump runs and suddenly he can't shut up about how dangerous he is. The other curious fact, most of his earlier posts looked like a bot could have done them.
