Yeah, I saw some of the hand-wringing concern troll festival over there. Pathetic.

"Oh noes! FR is doomed because they support Donald Trump and squelch GOPe propaganda..."

We “needed to win” against 0bama in 2012...but principles were much more important then, weren’t they?

The “principled” conservatives were “neverRomney”, but there’s a striking difference between what happened vs. what is happening now to the “neverTrump” conservatives.

Then? Few, if any, were banned.

Now? Zots, cheers, ridicule and high fives all around.

The difference now is that the so-called principled conservative during this election has run into the arms of the Uniparty establishment, exposing himself as a fraud, and Jim has expressed outrage at this betrayal, so any of teddy’s supporters who claim #nevertrump are complicit in the betrayal.

Thus these Cruznadian get zotTED!

Spare us the righteous indignation.

The only members getting zotted are the ones who are functioning as de facto propagandists for the GOPe, "NeverTrump" fanatics who have become dupes of the GOPe. That especially includes Ted Cruz.

Jim Roobinson, the site owner, isn't obligated to publish endless delusional agitprop posted by frustrated Ted Cruz fanboys who can't let go of their inferior candidate.

If all these "NeverTrump" clowns want to do is help Hillary by trying to prop up a failed candidate (Ted Cruz) who has no chance at the GOP nomination, then the time has come to part ways, rhetorically speaking.

The membership of this community is standing with Donald Trump and the site owner. Those who are unwilling to do so at this time will be welcomed back with open arms someday when their delusion lifts. Having the GOPe involved in the GOP nomination process is tantamount to aiding and abetting the Enemy.

At this point, according to Jim, anyone who's "NeverTrump" shouldn't be surprised when they are ultimately excluded from the community.

The GOP nominee has been chosen by the People.

Vote Trump

What if he isn’t?

It’s already very clear that Ted Cruz is not an outsider, but rather an insider, and he always was.

Ted Cruz has already revealed himself as someone whom I never want to vote for, I don’t want him near the White House. I want his kind out of my government.

I am done being suckered by professional politicians that masquerade as conservatives.

But there were “neverRomney’s”, how is this any different? Romney was an avowed liberal (positions) with an R behind his name. We knew then that he was GOPe at best, that the GOPe were traitors. We knew we had little to no chance of rolling back many of 0bozo’s “accomplishments” with Romney.

0bozo had to go in 2012, yet those who stood fast in the face of FR’s official position with regards to Romney were not treated like this. There were arguments about 2+2=5 and all that, but nothing of this magnitude.

And this justifies the zotting, ridicule, personal attacks and subsequent harassment of long time FReepers simply for remaining principled conservatives? Regardless of differing opinions?

Oh wait, that’s just “passion”. All will be well when they come back to FR groveling on their knees for forgiveness and then once the “victors” are satiated and convinced, then there may be reconciliation.

Ok, got it.

And this shows you could care less about your fellow Americans who are struggling and hurting financially.

No. it doesn't show that at all.

The way I made it was working 5 years of mostly 14 hour days away from home on drilling locations to bring America cheap gasoline again so they could spend the extra 20 bucks a week on cheap Chinese made stuff. No holidays, no vacation time, self employed, few days off.

Break it down in hours, and I worked 11 years worth of 40 hour weeks in five years.

My stuff is paid off, but I live humbly, and I am living from job to job like anyone else.

During that period of prosperity I gave tens of thousands to charity, and truckloads of goods as well. My accountant chastized me for not keeping track of all that, and most of it did not get written off. I survived cancer in that time while still working, and worked surgery in around my work schedule. Some "days off". I also had a house fire--try working that schedule and coordinating contractors while you are 100 miles away. You don't know jack, but one thing is certain, I didn't "hold anyone down".

It says you can prosper even under a reprehensible regime, and I said I'd trade that prosperity (and the 400K+ total I paid in taxes) for having had a principled Conservative in the White House those five years. My net income, BTW, went from 250K/year to zero in a week when the success of our efforts became evident in the marketplace over a year ago, and I don't hear any pity for the tens of thousands of oilfield workers in the same boat.

smokin’ joe says “I gots mine, and eff you all while I keep you down.”

Not only is that NOT a quote from me, but "keep you down" is a socialist talking point. I didn't keep anyone "down".

Partly because of my efforts, and those of thousands like me, you are all paying half as much for gasoline as you were. How does that "keep you down?", or anyone for that matter? What y'all do with the extra you aren't shelling out for fuel is up to you.

Don't throw those OWS 'jewels' at me, leave them on the cop car. I'm not one of your 1%.

Continuing to read it still goes forward one insult after another. Is this an infantile school yard brawl? Has this site been relegated to one uppah insult gamesmanship? This is sad.

For the record I was a member back in 2000ish dropped for a number of years but still read the site. I came back having to create a new log in

Let me just say this....Trump will not build a wall on our southern border. It won;t happen.

And illegals here...will not be running to their birth nations.

Not going to happen....and Trump can't/won't make it happen.

Well, after reading your post I will say that I disagree with any “never Trump” stance but I’d agree with the poster that said (and I can’t remember who it was so don’t ask me to courtesy ping him) I don’t think JR is banning anyone who is not going to vote for Trump. I think he’s just banning those who’ve said in the past that they would vote for Hillary (or Dems in general) out of spite. But I could be wrong there.

I’m intending to vote for Trump, even as a disappointed Cruz supporter, because really for the reasons against Trump in your post: ten generations from now I don’t want to be cursed for not doing everything I could to stop Hillary. Yes Trump is largely unknown but for this reason a vote for him by any true conservative can be rationalized, IMO. It’s not like he’s *known* to be a lying leftist, like Hillary is so known.

Granted of course, of any “record” to speak of about the man, he only recently has a record of supporting conservative ideals; before for many years, for many decades really he supported the opposite. The best anyone can reasonably say in retort to this fact is that he has “converted”.

I’m willing to give the convert claim a shot. It’s certainly better than nothing (which is what we have in Hillary)!

Now I don’t have any delusions or fantasies about him either, as, quite frankly, some on this thread seem to have about him. I’m pretty sure he will at least try to deport many illegals, and he will try to reform (not really repeal but reform) Obamacare in some ways, maybe making it more competitive via allowing competition across state lines. Like he said. He does have a “plan” to replace it (despite what those you cite say) but at the end of the day I don’t see him succeeding. (And yes, before someone bleats, “Cruz won’t either” I can see Cruz succeeding more on that front because he knows how to play the political games to get what he wants, and like it or not, that’s what needs to be done in DC to get anything done.)

No, Trump will try and fail. Not for lack of trying, and he will call what he eventually comes up with a “great deal” or some such self-aggandizing assessment, but in reality he will fail to substantially change Obamacare.

Similarly for “building the wall” and actually keeping the illegals out. He will fail on the wall as he realizes (if he doesn’t already) his first day in office he can’t just give orders and poof, things get done. The Dems won’t play that game like the Republican wimps let Obama play for the last 8 years. So he will fail at the wall and his “deportations” will essentially be amnesty as he’s said all along that he intends to just “let the good ones back”’in.

So how can a principled conservative vote for such a candidate? It’s quite simple, because while 10 generations from now may look back at a Trump presidency with regret they would surely curse the ground we are all buried in, should there be a Hillary presidency. It’s that simple. It’s pragmatic.

I know that’s a dirty word for some but it’s called reality.

I conclude with one final thought: how the moniker “Trumpsters” is any more offensive than “Cruzers” (or “Cruzbots” for that matter) is beyond me.

“Trumpanzee” is certainly childish but “Trumpster”? Really?

Talk about “drama queens”.

Wouldn’t you vote for Cruz if he wins the nomination?

I have opposed O-bummer being in the White House on the grounds that he is not eligible because he is not a NBC.

Cruz has the exact same problem and I will not be able to vote for him on the same grounds.

For any other office but not for President or Vice President.

I simply can not.
