Believing that a nation-state is the best way to promote individual freedom and prosperity makes perfect sense to me.
If a one world government goes crazy who will then stop them? Space invaders?
But if a nation state goes wacko, they make enemies who at least engage in push back, often war. And that state might be destroyed, but that is good in the long run.
Obama running around meddling in England’s business is an example. What if he really had been emperor?
