Two words: carry permit.
I used to take transit when I worked in downtown Calgary. At $30+ per day for parking downtown, transit was a more frugal option. I often worked past 6:00 PM at an office just outside the downtown core. After 6:00PM the area became a little ‘seedy’, especially in the winter when the sun was down at 5:00PM, as there was a homeless shelter across the street from the office.
The shelter would not allow those who were stoned onto their premises, so they floated into a nearby corner store along my path to the transit. In addition, other homeless types often aggregated at downtown ‘C-train’ stops and some would ride the trains to keep warm during winter evenings. It was a little unsettling but I am a big enough boy that few bothered me for spare change or anything. Besides, in a pinch, a BiC pen could be used for more than just writing!
Don’t know what I would do in a large American city. Our ‘yoots’ generally, are not quite as feral as those in Paris or large US cities, and guns are much harder to get here. Of course, it a criminal wants to get a gun, I’m sure they can. Luckily, there are much fewer ‘hardcore’ gangsters here.
I believe it’s time to resurrect the Guardian Angels. ......................... Yeah, so the left can label them as Trump’s brown shirts?

I truly hope she comes to a proper view on this to not let herself feel like a victim for long. Yes it did happen, but not to let it dissuade her from achieving her goals in life, or live in fear. She’s got so much life to go!
I think she was courageous, and i hope authorities took any evidence they could from the bite she received, fibers or such off her clothes, swabbed where she was punched etc.
May take a while but those low lives will attack someone else and in time, I pray, be caught and receive punishment. Help this woman have a positive lawful outcome to this frightening incident.
I very directly tell my white children that some blacks have been raised with a murderous hatred of whites, that it is reinforced daily by the media (Did you know they are re-making “Roots”?), and they should be very careful any time they are around young blacks (which is never, but as they get older they might have some exposure).
If I didn’t do this I’d be a horrible parent; I have no intention of mourning the loss of a child because of political correctness. I know the killing would be unreported/swept under the rug; no thank you.

Wrong. Black on White crime is largely under-reported because it doesn't fit the liberal media narrative here in Chicago.

I guess each generation needs that clarified (the war against whites); the image of the white truck driver being beaten half to death during the LA riots left an impression on many people that are older now, and younger people need a visual like that...
Enlighten me then. I'm originally from Rockville, a suburb of Washington D.C. All the Whites live in Northwest D.C., with most incidents of crime occurring in Southeast D.C.

I think it may be a cultural thing, myself. Too many are taught to “not act white” or Asian.
Really? I see whites in Southeast and Northeast all the time. True most of the drug crime is in Southeast but you can get mugged anywhere.
Yep. Gentrification. D.C. is a lot better than the bad old days of late '80s and early '90s. Even though, there's a lot of Whites and Asians moving in to D.C., there's still "no-go" areas such as Anacostia.
There should be a study of Blacks born to two parent households and see how they do academically and what their IQ scores are.
