The leader of South Africa's opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party has launched his party's campaign for the upcoming local elections, promising to rescue citizens from poverty, unemployment and corrupt government.
Around 40,000 people turned up at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday displaying massive support for fiery EFF leader Julius Malema's promises to seize white-owned land without compensation and nationalise the banks.
The huge turnout was a shot across the bows of the ANC, which failed to fill a similar stadium during the launch of its own manifesto in the coastal city of East London two weeks ago.
"We are not chasing the whites away. We are saying you have too much land. We want you here in South Africa, but 80 percent of the land belongs to us," Malema told the crowd.
The white minority still holds the vast majority of farmland as well as a disproportionate share of the country's wealth.
The EFF is capitalising on black discontent over the perceived lack of change under the ANC government since the end of apartheid 22 years ago.

The shiftless riff-raff will propel Malema to power. They will be repaid in booty stolen from the whites, then slaughtered when there is no more means to appease them. They are likely too uneducated to understand or foresee the path they advocate.
Descendants? My oldest son has passed before marriage. My middle son divorced his wife when she ran off with a barely 20 year old. Not certain he has interest in marriage or children at this point. My youngest son is really a step child. A complication of cancer in 1985. I have no prospects of descendants beyond my sons. My great grandparents had 19 children between 1865 and 1887. Most of them opted not to marry or have offspring. Most were exceptionally successful engineers and farmers. My second son is nearly finished with his degree in nuclear physics. He makes a satisfactory living as a real estate broker to finance his real interest in particle physics.
The US already has their version of Malema in office. He and his minions have run up the credit card and spent every resource they could touch. It won't be long before the resources to appease the mobs via EBT, Section-8, Obama phones and subsidized health care evaporate. The riots will be everywhere instead of a single city spectacle with "wall to wall" press coverage.
For what its worth, the black population in the US isn’t growing at a much different rate than the white population; they can’t even deal with the Latinos that are displacing them in the cities, in the workforce, in the drug trade, etc.
I don’t see the tantrums of Ferguson and Baltimore as demonstrations of black strength but failure and desperation; if they did that damage in white areas I’d view it differently. In my area (and I suspect this is national) the formerly “white” areas/suburbs closest to the urban cores are becoming very Hispanic and Asian, and they bear the brunt of black crime now (see Michael Brown’s theft of cigars in Ferguson as an example). Blacks realize that whites (and their tax dollars) are evacuating, and their areas are deteriorating as a result - hence the unrest.
A couple of years ago there was a news story (and threads here) about the fiscal crisis in cities; current black residents were railing about the amount of money these cities had to pony up for pensions to primarily white retirees. The financial resources the black politicians commandeered when they took political reins of cities turned out to have little cash but a lot of IOUs, and were quickly depleted (with no revenue sources to replace them). They can riot to their hearts’ content, and with each passing day they impact fewer and fewer people “that matter”...
There was some real stupid moves by the Brit commanders in that one.
I cant remember if they sacked the commanders after that or not.
Sir John French and Sir Douglas Haig went on to command British troops in WWI. They over saw that huge slaughter and never learned a thing.

I wish that people would quit that crap about “too dumb”, etc. Whites are not just one big rich group who can do anything and go anywhere.

Blacks nationwide have held at about 12.5% or increased to 13% w mixed race over the last 15 years.
How do you think abortion has affected their population growth over the past 50 years? We know that blacks disproportionately abort their children. If this were not the case, what would their current population be - 25% or 30% of the overall US population?
Both the ANC and the EFF are merely using land as an emotive issue. There is something like 30% of the land which is owned by the Government and which they have not released for housing or farming for private individuals. Then there is a large amount of land - not sure of the percentage - which is tribal and owned by tribal kings. Those who live on this land are really nothing more than serfs living in a feudal system - they will never be able to own land in these areas.
Where black Africans have been able to take over farms, those farms are now non-productive. The idea is simply to own the land, not to do anything productive with it. Of course, that results in the loss of many jobs, specially for those who are not qualified to do anything else. Most rural Africans, given the chance, move into urban areas.
The one success story is here in the Western Cape, which is “wine country”. Several of the wine farmers have released part of their farms to their workers (mostly coloured) which they farm for themselves. They have lots of experience and are producing their own labels, some of which are exported! Probably the big difference between the coloured people and the blacks is that the coloureds are not hamstrung by things like tribal traditions. How they turn out depends largely on how they are brought up - just like the rest of us.
It goes beyond abortion (which certainly targets blacks); that policy failed because those pushing it didn’t understand the unwed pregnancies were DELIBERATE. Young blacks nearing the end of high school saw it as the transition to adulthood and “work” - getting paid to breed. Abortion never achieved its goal in the black community because these weren’t “accidents”.
Nowadays the state takes a different approach, targeting young blacks for college admission and government jobs - both in the hopes that they’ll at least defer having children - and they’ve had some success with this. Several younger black female co-workers have just one child (and no intention of having more); they’ve figured out a hybrid approach was best. Many freebies for breeding a welfare bastard, on top of which they get jobs for additional spending money. As a result, the population growth has flattened; the days of the welfare queens with half a dozen welfare bastards from as many men appear to be drawing to a close.
Why is it, I wonder, that the productive whites can’t realize that, by far the sanest path would be to liquidate and go elsewhere? That course of action is beginning to be the wisest choice in many instances here in America. If .there are ashes to be risen from, let it be theirs. Nowhere in history have people like this been left to their own devices and made anything worth praising. That’s not racist, it’s simple fact. I say give them “room to destroy” just as they’re asking. Perhaps, one day, their collective will realize that the change and improvement has to start with them, not other people. If they are “forced” to do anything, it should be to live with what they demand and get.
Equality is about the farthest thing from the minds of those who demand it. They simply don’t know how to deal with it when they get it. In my mind, that applies to all the “minority” groups that are trying to force their lifestyles, cultures and depravities on everyone in the world. Sometimes to walk away from and refuse to participate in their lunacy is the best action, short of war.
“Fine, divide SA into half. Whites get the Western half, blacks get the Eastern. Build a huge wall right down the middle.”
Nobody knows better why that won’t work better than the blacks. They’re fully aware who butters the bread. Guess which half would most likely attack the other.

Prayers up for you and your kin. If things get bad here, I wonder if I will have the option of leaving. I would leave a pauper, as all of my wealth is tied into my property.
