During his Fox interview, Trump invoked a tabloid story that claimed to link Rafael Cruz to John F. Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, which Cruz’s campaign last month dismissed as “garbage.”

“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald being shot, I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said. “Nobody even brings it up, they don’t even talk about that.”

“What was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the shooting?”

You DO realize that ‘allowed to say’ doesn’t mean that he thinks that the government should stomp him down, right?

You DO realize that ‘allowed to say’ probably means that the Cruz campaign and his family shouldn’t let him go out there and say crazy things, right?

But no, you always have to assume the worst, because you know for a fact that Trump is the devil.

Sheesh.

I keep thinking Cruz's dad is a con man, a potentially great salesman gone bad, who is feeling the strong pull of the darkside and that Ted has perhaps not fallen far from the tree.

I've had a long history with such people dating back to early childhood and those Cruz boys keep tripping over my inner trip wires with their conservative and evangelical focused sales pitch. The deja vu is strong with them.

Then this morning I found this from 2013 about Rafael and Ted Cruz – Biggest Cuban Con Artists since Rosie Ruiz.

An excerpt:

Rafael Cruz states: “So I found myself at 14 years old involved in a Revolution.” Rafael was 14 in 1953. In 1953 there was one incident, the July 26 raid on the Moncada Barracks. Fidel Castro and his rebels who survived were jailed then released in May, 1955 and they departed for Mexico. They returned from Mexico on December 2, 1956. The first battle of the Revolution took place January 17, 1957 at the Mouth of the Plata River. This is around the time Rafael Cruz – the son of an affluent Matanzas, Cuba family and ally of the Batista Dictatorship – would have been anticipating leaving Cuba to attend the University of Texas in the late summer of 1957.

This Con Artist tale begs the question: how does a boy who claims he had left his home in Matanzas at age 14 and was gone for four years ‘in the Revolution’ missing all four grades of high school get accepted at an American university, especially by just ‘writing a letter’ at the last minute. No surprise that Rafael Bienvenido Cruz is not mentioned in either Museum of the Revolution in Cuba.

Cubans who fought in the Revolution were incensed at hearing Cruz’ claims that he escaped death several times and managed to get away ‘by the Grace of God.’ The(y) say that he ‘urinates on the graves of true youth heroes like William Soler, Jose Echeverria, and Frank Pais.’ The living Cuban heroes label Rafael Cruz a ‘bola de grasa’; a greaseball. The true heroes suspect that Rafael Cruz, the son of an affluent family, was possibly a spy for the Batista Dictatorship who later granted him an exit visa, perhaps infiltrating the FEU or the AAA and setting up youth leaders for torture and execution.

I've read quite a few variations on their family story and their "official" versions look pretty and smell bad. No matter what they say, their actions tell me we can't handle the truth.

My take away is that Rafael Felito Dorito Ted Cruz is not the One we're looking for.

Does not make it not a disgrace. The entire Cruz family and Beck have made a mockery of God. All the “anointed” messages and Cruz is to be king.

If God does indeed want Cruz they could have quietly run an honest campaign and trusted that God would prevail. The Elmer Gantry act is just what Jesus scolded the Pharisees for in Matthew 23.

That would be a good interpretation if God in fact spoke to Heidi Cruz, but I don’t believe that he did.

Very good.

One of the reasons the South lost the War Between The States is because they opted at the outset to drive the Yankees out of the South and pursue them to crush them.

At the Battle of Bull Run, the South had a chance to surround Washington DC and demand surrender from Lincoln holding the Union Army as prisoners. But they hesitated as they thought that the whipping they gave to the Yankees would lead to a truce and treaty.

The lesson is to never let the enemy escape to fight another day. The lesson is to pursue the enemy until every last enemy participant is taken and slaughtered or imprisoned.

In the case of Trump’s politics, the aim is to get Cruz to concede and to fall into line behind the nominee. I now have doubts as it appears Cruz is not well-integrated in his person. He appears to have a screw loose. Perhaps then the aim should be to drive him out of politics altogether.

Eh, maybe I was reacting too fast when half asleep. If so, my apologies.

But it’s still a big step from Trump saying that a comment being allowed (and from what I see, he doesn’t say who ‘allows’ it) is shameful, and saying that the 1st Amendment should be overturned.

Perhaps God did wanted for Cruz to run in order to help Christians to open their eyes that just because someone claims to be a Christian is not.

I know personally people who claim to be Christians were rude to my family, but the people who were not Christians behaved more like Christ like. You can guess which side I prefer.

I would guess a bit high on Nebraska, but maybe that comes true if Trump wins tonight and becomes completely inevitable.

Yes, Cruz (and his father) has probably done more harm than good as far as bringing people to Christ.

I just want to add that it took me 47 years to meet and get close enough to a true Christian family to actually experience what real Christians are like. It’s a level of beauty not seen in others. Christ was very clear in the New Testament about who is and isn’t a Christian. And the consequences for those who die without Christ are not good.

I would hope everyone would strive to be more Christ like in their daily walk. Unfortunately we seem to be headed in another direction. And again, Ted Cruz has not helped one bit. As least in my opinion. (which is also why he has fallen like he has-no one likes a phony)
