A message for my fellow Republicans: If you back Trump you will not be trusted again
Fox News ^ | May 03, 2016 | David Ross Meyers

Donald Trump is unfit to be president of the United States for reasons almost too numerous to mention.

[....]

Voters will not forget those individuals who supported Mr. Trump. And any Republican who endangers our nation by supporting Donald Trump will not be trusted again.

David Meyers worked in the West Wing of the White House as Assistant Staff Secretary from 2006 to 2009 and Communications Project Director. From 2009 to 2010, he worked as a Communications Advisor for the Senate Republican Leadership. He is now an actor, writer, and Ph.D. candidate in Political Science.

Apparently some people think they can tell the presumptive nominee, and the voters who chose him, “What loyalty pledge? Up yours!” and still be considered trustworthy.

His careers in business, reality television, and politics have been marked by personal ambition, self-aggrandizement, and a willingness to do or say anything to achieve power, fame, or notoriety. He is exactly the kind of demagogue that our founders feared might try to seek the Presidency for his own personal gain.

The only problem is that this far more accurately describes Hillary or almost anyone in GOPe than it does Trump.

This guy worked for the 0blama admin, then the Senate Repubbies and we’re supposed to value his opinion, why?!

I’ve never even heard of this person, btw.

Sounds like another arrogant, out of touch, jerk begging for a date with a lamp post.

David Ross Meyers, George Will, the staff of National Review - and 800 other conservative elites living in the 7 wealthiest ZIP codes around DC need to form their own party.

They are so superior to ‘the people’. Leaving the party is the only answer.... they can't be expected to rub shoulders with us... the great unwashed. Our 'betters' can't be compromised by 'the people'...

We see their hatred and 'self serving superiority' of working class Ameircans - - their voices dripping with contempt even mentioning us - - their base... If only - if ONLY they WERE superior...but they aren't - that's the betrayal. Their 'superiority' is only in attitude. The reality - the outcome of their years in DC. doesn't show superiority.

NOPE, no 'superiority' in what they've accomplished...

We see wasteland - broken promises, broken dreams, massive debt, laws that prop them and their donors up - but not our country. We see the death of our hopes and ideals.

We see betrayal.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR CONSERVATIVE ELITES TO FORM THEIR VERY OWN SUPERIOR PARTY..

We'll all stand in awe of them while they look down their noses on us - AND THEY'LL WONDER WHY THEY CAN'T ELECT A DOG CATCHER. Then we'll laugh and party and elect leaders who give a damn about the people...
