Most of Cruz’s future depends on what he does from this day forward. And who knows? I could imagine Trump stumping for Cruz one day in Texas unless something funky is attempted at the convention.
Trump’s main strength is simple. I mean ‘kindergarten simple’.
He simply connects better with low-info patriots. Most patriots are as clueless as ‘Man on the Street’ liberals. They’ve been so cynical that they don’t bother to get informed.
Elections are not decided by political scholars. They are decided by political ‘know-nothings’.

And, we Texans, both Anglo and Tejana, need to work diligently to defeat Cornyn. If I wasn’t unemployed and flat broke, I’d consider going at him.
That said, I’ve got some time on my hands right now and could offer support (physical & intellectual) to defeating Cornyn...
It’ll be a tough nut to crack.

You only get one chance to make a first impression. Cruz has made a very bad one. Knowing what I know of him now, I wouldn’t support him for any office.

You nailed it...it will be fun (and sad) to watch FR in the next couple of years if Trump becomes president. The whining on this site because Trump failed to do a majority of what he promised as well as his true colors of being a liberal exposed will be amazing. It definitely is cult driven just as Obama’s popularity.
You forget. The cult mentality has a very short memory and will forget before the general election is over all of the promises.
tRump can swing as far left (and he has already started) as he wants during the general to get elected and the cult will keep gulping it up and forget what he said during the primary.

These two are not on my listening list, but I listened to them today just to see how they were. Surprisingly, Glenn Beck got out of bed and did the show today, I gave it even odds that he’d be “sick” today. Glenn is even more of a mess than usual, he’s talking about this being the end of the country. No, it’s just the end of a good revenue stream.
Mark Levin is pissed. He was yelling more than usual today. His gravy train derailed into the river last night, so he lost that revenue stream and has no hope of having a seat at the president’s table once in a while. Cruz, if elected, was never going to give Levin the time of day but it didn’t stop him from dreaming. His 3 hours today was the “I hate Trump” festival and he’s in full freak-out mode. Now that he’s sold out and everybody knows it, his radio show is on death-watch.
Trump won’t be a Ronald Reagan but he won’t give away the store like Cruz would. I don’t trust anybody that hasn’t explicitly ruled out legalization of these south-of-the-border squatters. You damn well know CRUZ would remember who his people are and let Mehico tell him his business.
