Donald Trump Clearly Thinks Hillary Clinton Is Vulnerable In This One Area. She Is.

Donald Trump claimed his status as the presumptive Republican nominee on Tuesday with a restrained victory speech that hinted at a possible principal line of general election attack against his Democratic counterpart Hillary Clinton.

“She doesn't understand trade,” Trump said after his win in Indiana forced Sen. Ted Cruz to drop out of the race and all-but cemented the nomination for the real estate mogul. "Her husband signed perhaps in the history of the world the single worst trade deal ever done. It's called NAFTA.” Advertisement

This emphasis on workers and trade was incredibly similar to the speech he gave after his critical Super Tuesday II victories on March 15 that eliminated Sen. Marco Rubio from the primary field. “Apple, and all of these great companies will be making their great products in the United States, not in China, Vietnam,” Trump said at the time of what a Trump presidency would mean.

That was a more general speech about how he’d be the candidate of working class voters on the issue of trade, specifically the protectionist candidate (you can read more here about how disastrous the economic policies he's hinted at would be for the economy).

George Washington was also a protectionist. Despite all of the economic experts who refuse to even consider it, protectionism worked out OK for Washington, no?

My only serious caveat with Trump, is that I wish he’d talk less about punitive protectionism, and more about free markets—lifting regulations and better enabling Americans to compete both domestically and abroad. Basically, more carrot and less stick.

He also needs to clarify that these ‘free trade’ agreements really have nothing to do with actual free trade, but are basically insider arrangements for connected cronies.

And it starts dripping - like Chinese water torture.

It’s going to be amazing to watch Trump take her down.

“Despite all of the economic experts”

Their just one part of the globalist enterprise that forces the taxpayer to pay for subsidizing overseas third world nations while they invest in the companies that make billions off of our largess.

For Trump, the road to 270 runs through the Rust Belt: MI, OH and PA.

Win those states and you get to the WH. All the rest is icing on the electoral cake.

I think Clinton is extremely vulnerable on women’s issues as well.

1) Trump should hit her for remaining totally silent on the Muslim rapefest in Europe.

2) Hit her on remaining totally silent on the report that 60-80 of women and girls are being raped on their way to the US across the southern border.

3) Hit her on remaining silent about as many as 500,000 women and girls here in the US are facing female circumcision.

4) Hit her on her defense of a child molester, getting him off with a slap on the wrist, after dragging the 12 year old victim thru the mud.

5) Hit her on running the Bimbo Eruption team, and how she deliberately ruined the reputation of the women who were abused by her husband, including having them audited by the IRS.

I’m sure there a lot more things, but this could be a start.

The object would be to keep Clinton always on the defensive, make her respond to every one of these, over and over again.

We’ve seen how Trump was able to dispatch multiple opponents, and Hillary is just one.

Hillary is going to be playing a lot of defense in states that the Dims think of their own.

Personally I don’t find it valid to attempt to encapsulate an entire area of law or commercial practice into a single word “protectionism”. Any more than “racist”.

You want to see a blazingly protectionist country? Try China. Tariffs on imports far more onerous than we have. You want to build stuff there? Fine, give us the blueprints. Or we’llk steal them and any other intellectual property we want. Copyright? What’s that? Thanks, Boeing. Thanks, Fellowes, by the way, we’ve decided to take the factory you built. And your patents and manufacturing dies. Hope that’s OK with you.

Americans have sat by over the last 30 years and been told that manufacturing jobs leaving the country are good for the country. That we’re a post manufacturing culture. That China thriving while we decay is good for us. That we get cheaper products. But yet in the long run we’re worse off.

some article said he was being sexist because her HUSBAND passed that and not her.

But everyone who is still breathing knows the power she had in that marriage.

So it’s fair game

I think Trump wins on immigration, foreign policy, taxes, the 2nd amendment, and education too.

Finally, two words: Rudolph Giuliani.

If he can be elected mayor of NYC then Trump has a chance in NY State. They are very similar guys in some ways. If Trump wins NY PIAPS has no path to 270 electoral votes

Trump needs to do TV on this issue: Run Hillay’s TV piece on eliminating coal mining jobs & the entire coal industry in Ohio, W. Virginia, Virginia, & Pennsylvania. He goes a long way in getting Ohio & Virginia back, then along with Florida, he might be able to steal Pennsylvania...then he wins.

It’ll be schadenfreude most sweet to watch know-it-alls after Trump wins New York and California. But that can never happen because the know-it-alls already know it can’t happen...

GHW Bush set up NAFTA with all of his cronies....Clinton got elected and said “That’s Cool” and signed it.

Here is Ross Perot on just exactly this in 1992 Clinton/Bush/Perot Debate....2-way street:

You’re right. My 28 y.o. DIL was floored, back over the Christmas holiday, when I casually mentioned that Billy had been accused of rape by an actual woman - and that around a dozen others accused him of sexual assault. Millennials know nothing at all about the impeached former president or the complicity of his wife in the trashing of the injured women. If Trump doesn’t make a big deal about it, the MSM will be silent about it in their support for Hillary.

This will require firing a few hundred thousand useless eaters in the Washington DC Federal bureaucracy. These parasites constantly promulgate new regs in order to keep their jobs and to expand burecratic empires at the EPA-OSHA etc

Bingo! Free trade is when an pig farmer in Iowa can sell pork bellies to a supermarket chain in China. What we have is as you said, deals that narrow markets, make trade more cumbersome, and give advantage to a select few.

And his buddy at the NE is going to give the young and low-info an education and eyefull of the Clinton crime family—including their thunder-thighed, sinecured shill of a daughter—in the grocery store lines.

No ROE for Trump, none of the obsequious ‘professional courtesy’ we have come to loathe that uniparty shows one another. Just the points any one of us would like to make with this grifter familt.
With Manafort as his governor, he’s going to red-line chainsaw her Heinous, then toss her cankles in a chipper.

Moveable object meets irresistable force. I expect a lot of confused eyerolling and pauses from Hildabeast.

From now on this is going to be great, and I ain’t just a woofin’.
