The entire month of May is International Respect for Chickens Month!
Please do an ACTION for chickens on or around May 4. Ideas include leafleting on a busy street corner, holding an office party or classroom celebration, writing a letter to the editor, doing a radio call-in.... (interrupted by my cackling and chortling)

Many opportunities for pro-Chicken activism are listed on the website.
I think my ACTION will be to go to Chick-Fil-a for lunch and order one of their great chicken sandwiches.
On the other hand, because Black Chicken Lives Matter, maybe I'll order thighs and drumsticks.

Industrial farming does injustice to our animals - God instructed us to be "good stewards" to the things He put us in charge of.
Chickens can be raised more humanely than spending their entire lives shoved into a tight box to lay eggs.
That's my mini-screed for the day.
We have three chickens that give us 21 organic eggs a week and in return are given room to live a more natural chicken life (such as it is).
